Fact Checking Obama

Straight from Fox, no point in re writing it. It just shows how much this guy lies.

A look at some of his claims:

OBAMA: "We began by passing a Recovery Act that has already saved or created over 150,000 jobs." -- from news conference.

THE FACTS: This assertion is dubious on several levels. For starters, the U.S. has lost more than 1.2 million jobs since Obama took office, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics. Even if Obama's stimulus bill saved or created as many jobs as he says, that number is dwarfed by the number of recent job losses.

But Obama's number is murky, at best. The White House has not yet announced how it intends to count jobs created by the stimulus bill. Obama's number is based on a job-counting formula that his economists have developed but have not made public. Until that formula is announced --probably in the coming week or so -- there's no way to assess its accuracy.

Whatever the formula, economists who study job creation say it will require some creative math. That's because Obama has lumped "jobs saved" in with "jobs created." Even economists for organizations that stand to benefit from the stimulus concede it probably is impossible to estimate saved jobs because that would require calculating a hypothetical: how many people would have lost their jobs without the stimulus.

___

OBAMA: "We must lay a new foundation for growth, a foundation that will strengthen our economy and help us compete in the 21st century. And that's exactly what this budget begins to do. It contains new investments in education that will equip our workers with the right skills and training; new investments in renewable energy that will create millions of jobs and new industries; new investments in health care that will cut costs for families and businesses, and new savings that will bring down our deficit." -- news conference.

"I've personally asked the leadership in Congress to pass into law rules that follow the simple principle: You pay for what you spend, so that government acts the same way any responsible family does." -- in Missouri.

THE FACTS: While the budget does set a roadmap for achieving the president's goals, it says nothing about how to pay for his health plan, expected to cost more than $1 trillion over the next 10 years. And while the deficit, under the plan, would drop to $523 billion in 2014, it achieves it with unrealistic assumptions, such as projections that spending in Iraq and Afghanistan will amount to only $50 billion a year.

___

OBAMA: "Number one, we inherited a $1.3 trillion deficit....That wasn't me." -- in Missouri.

THE FACTS:

Congress, under Democratic control in 2007 and 2008, held the purse strings that led to the deficit Obama inherited. A Republican president, George W. Bush, had a role too: He signed the legislation.

Obama supported the emergency financial bailout package in Bush's final months -- a package Democratic leaders wanted to make bigger.

To be sure, Obama opposed the Iraq war, a drain on federal coffers for six years before he became president. But with one major exception, he voted in support of Iraq war spending.

The nonpartisan Committee for a Responsible Federal Budget has estimated Obama's policy proposals would add a net $428 billion to the deficit over four years, even accounting for his spending reduction goals. Now, the deficit is nearly quadrupling to $1.75 trillion.

___

OBAMA: "I think one basic principle that we know is that the more we do on the (disease) prevention side, the more we can obtain serious savings down the road. ... If we're making those investments, we will save huge amounts of money in the long term." -- in Missouri.

THE FACTS: It sounds believable that preventing illness should be cheaper than treating it, and indeed that's the case with steps like preventing smoking and improving diet and exercise. But during the 2008 campaign, when Obama and other presidential candidates were touting a focus on preventive care, the New England Journal of Medicine cautioned that "sweeping statements about the cost-saving potential of prevention, however, are overreaching." It said that "although some preventive measures do save money, the vast majority reviewed in the health economics literature do not."

And a study released in December by the Congressional Budget Office found that increasing preventive care "could improve people's health but would probably generate either modest reductions in the overall costs of health care or increases in such spending within a 10-year budgetary time frame."

___

OBAMA: "You could cut (Social Security) benefits. You could raise the tax on everybody so everybody's payroll tax goes up a little bit. Or you can do what I think is probably the best solution, which is you can raise the cap on the payroll tax." -- in Missouri.

THE FACTS: Obama's proposal would reduce the Social Security trust fund's deficit by less than half, according to the nonpartisan Tax Policy Center.

That means he would still have to cut benefits, raise the payroll tax rate, raise the retirement age or some combination of these measures to deal with the program's long-term imbalance.

Workers currently pay 6.2 percent and their employers pay an equal rate -- for a total of 12.4 percent -- on annual wages of up to $106,800, after which no more payroll tax is collected.

Obama wants workers making more than $250,000 to pay payroll tax on their income over that amount. That would still protect workers making under $250,000 from an additional burden. But it would raise much less money than removing the cap completely.

___

OBAMA: "My hope is that working in a bipartisan fashion we are going to be able to get a health care reform bill on my desk before the end of the year that we'll start seeing in the kinds of investments that will make everybody healthier." -- in Missouri.

THE FACTS: Obama has indeed expressed hope for a health care plan that has support from Democrats and Republicans. But his Democratic allies in Congress have just made that harder. The Democratic budget plan that Congress passed Wednesday gives Democrats the option of denying Republicans the normal right to block health care with a Senate filibuster. The filibuster tactic requires 60 votes to overcome, making it the GOP's main weapon to ensure a bipartisan outcome. The rules set by the budget mean that majority Democrats could potentially pass health care legislation without any Republican votes, sacrificing bipartisanship to achieve their goals.

Arlen Specter The Turn Coat

Looks like Specter is a turn coat to the Republican party. This gives the Democrats there filibuster proof majority. This means that Democrats can now take blame for everything that happens to this country since the Republicans can not stop them. The Republicans better do well in '10.

Specter was more of a RINO anyways.

The Obama Mania Media

The study is in and shows that the Media loves Obama, not that we didn't know this anyways. The real problem with this study is that CNN and MSNBC were not in it. If they were the hours of coverage would be a lot higher with most of it positive.

President Obama is getting more coverage, and more positive coverage, from the media than his two predecessors.

A new study of his first 50 days in office reveals the network evening newscasts devoted 27 hours, 44 minutes of coverage to his presidency. George W. Bush received just under eight hours in his first 50 days. Bill Clinton: 15 hours.

CBS had almost 11 hours. NBC was next with nine and a half. ABC had seven and a third. The study looked at the first half-hour of "Special Report" on FOX and we had 10 hours, 24 minutes.

The coverage on the broadcast nets was judged 58 percent positive for President Obama. That compares to 33 percent for Mr. Bush and 44 percent for Mr. Clinton.

NBC was most positive at 61 percent. CBS was 58 percent, ABC 57 percent, and Special Report was 13 percent.

The study authors described this show — as "FOX News Special Report" — which most closely resembles the broadcast network newscasts."

The study did not look at CNN or MSNBC.

I am just happy that we have Fox to counter the Obama networks. There is a reason that Fox is number one and gets more viewers then all the other networks combined.

Department Of Defense To Cause Massive Ammunition Shortage

We all know that Obama is against guns, I don't care what he says about it. Every time he has had a chance to vote on something pertaining to the Second Amendment he has voted against it. Now he is going to other countries, namely Mexico, and saying that because of our Second Amendment it is causing problems in their country. Obama is not dumb, he knows that the Democrats will take a beating in '10 if they try a gun grab, so what do you do?

You take away ammo. The DOD is a huge supplier to Remanufacturers of ammo. With them not selling to these companies they will end up closing their doors. That means on top of the shortage we have now, a massive shortage for Hunters, Shooters and even Law Enforcement. Like normal this does not affect criminals, this only affects law abiding citizens.

Here is a couple letters that Remanufacturers got from the DOD:

Dear Valued Customer:

Please take a moment to note important changes set forth by the Defense Logistics Agency:

Recently it has been determined that fired munitions of all calibers, shapes and sizes have been designated to be Demil code B. As a result and in conjunction with DLA's current Demil code B policy, this notice will serve as official notification which requires Scrap Venture (SV) to implement mutilation as a condition of sale for all sales of fired munitions effective immediately. This notice also requires SV to immediately cease delivery of any fired munitions that have been recently sold or on active term contracts, unless the material has been mutilated prior to sale or SV personnel can attest to the mutilation after delivery. A certificate of destruction is required in either case.

Thank you,

DOD Surplus

Re: Event 7084-6200:

Dear Larry Haynie,

Effective immediately DOD Surplus, LLC, will be implementing new requirements for mutilation of fired shell casings. The new DRMS requirement calls for DOD Surplus personnel to witness the mutilation of the property and sign the Certificate of Destruction. Mutilation of the property can be done at the DRMO, if permitted by the Government, or it may be mutilated at a site chosen by the buyer. Mutilation means that the property will be destroyed to the extent prevents its reuse or reconstruction. DOD Surplus personnel will determine when property has been sufficiently mutilated to meet the requirements of the Government.

If you do not agree with the new conditions of your spot sale, please sign the appropriate box provided below stating that you do not agree to the new terms and would like to cancel your purchase effective immediately. If you do agree to the new terms please sign in the appropriate box provided below to acknowledge your understanding and agreement with the new requirements relating to your purchase. Fax the signed document back to (480) 367-1450, emailed responses are not acceptable.

Please respond to this request no later than close of business Monday, March 16th, 2009.

Sincerely,

Government Liquidation.

With this all brass ammunition will be shredded down and sold as scrap. Where does most of our scrapped metal go? It goes to China. So basically the DOD will now sell all their ammunition, in the form of scrap, to China.

On top of all of this, how many jobs will be lost?

Michigan To Pay Detroit Students For Good Grades

Detroit schools are busted. They are a huge disaster, but paying kids to receive good grades is not the answer. The answer is the voucher system. Let the kids go to a private school and it will force the public schools to quit wasting money on lavish items and actually worry about the kids.

Why should my tax dollars go to pay a kid in Detroit when my kid will get nothing, when he starts school? Why is Detroit so special? If Detroit wants to pay its kids, that is fine, but I am against the State of Michigan paying them.

Detroit high school students could earn up to $2,000 a year for passing major subjects under a bill that is to be introduced in Lansing today.

It is one of three bills from Sen. Hansen Clarke, D-Detroit, that would reorganize about 30 failing high schools in Detroit Public Schools and offer extra pay to teachers and students for improvements.

Paying teachers is fine but parents in Detroit need to start paying attention to their kids.

One bill would demand sweeping reorganization, including maximum class sizes of 16 students, character education classes, mentors and individualized learning plans for each student in DPS's high schools that failed to make adequate yearly progress the past five years

This bill needs to pass. This is something that would actually help Detroit.

Detroit's biggest problem is parents need to help their kids. You can not just throw them in school and demand the teachers to do everything. Kids are a reflection on their parents. If the parents don't care, the kids wont.

Democrats Gone Wild

My god, look at the headlines on Drudge.

POLS GONE WILD:
*PAPER: Senator's husband cashes in on crisis;
Feinstein sought $25B for agency...

*TARP INSPECTOR GENERAL WARNS OF 'CATASTROPHIC FRAUD' POTENTIAL...
*Key Dem Said to Have Agreed to Aid Lobbyists;
NSA intercepted talk...
*Murtha's Defense Earmarks Draw Questions...
*CONGRESS BATTLES THE BULGE;
MEMBERS BLAME RECESSION FOR BEING OVERWEIGHT...

This is getting out of hand. Is this what the Obama supporters wanted? Kick backs to family, friends and people that helped Dems get in power? That is what they are getting.

I thought that things were a little out of control under Bush, but since the Dems hold all the power it has went insane. The problem is that most people will never know that any of this is happening.

Bidenisms

Since everyone liked bashing Bush about his slip ups. Fox put this list together for Biden. How long till the Democrats start crying foul?

-- On March 13, 2009, Biden addressed a former Senate colleague by saying, "An hour late, oh give me a f**king break," after he arrived on Amtrak at Union Station in Washington, D.C. The vice president's expletive was caught on a live microphone.

-- During a Feb. 25, 2009, interview on CBS' "Early Show," Biden encouraged viewers to visit a government-run Web site that tracks stimulus spending. When asked for the site's web address, Biden could not remember the site's "number."

"You know, I'm embarrassed. Do you know the Web site number?" he asked an aide standing out of view. "I should have it in front of me and I don't. I'm actually embarrassed."

-- At a Jan. 30, 2009, swearing-in ceremony of senior White House staff, Biden mocked Chief Justice John Roberts for his presidential oath blunder on Inauguration Day.

"Am I doing this again?" Biden said, after Obama asked him to administer the oath. When Biden was told the swearing-in was for senior staff -- and not cabinet members -- the vice president quipped, "My memory is not as good as Justice Roberts," prompting a stern nudge from Obama.

-- On Inauguration Day, Jan. 20 2009, Biden misspoke when he told a cheering crowd of supporters, "Jill and I had the great honor of standing on that stage, looking across at one of the great justices, Justice Stewart." Justice John Paul Stevens -- not Stewart -- swore Biden in as vice president.

-- When criticizing former GOP nominee John McCain in Athens, Ohio, on Oct. 15, 2008, Biden said, "Look, John's last-minute economic plan does nothing to tackle the number-one job facing the middle class, and it happens to be, as Barack says, a three-letter word: jobs. J-O-B-S, jobs."

-- In a Sept. 22, 2008, CBS interview, Biden misspoke when he said Franklin D. Roosevelt was president when the stock market crashed in 1929.

"When the stock market crashed, Franklin D. Roosevelt got on the television and didn't just talk about the, you know, the princes of greed. He said, 'Look, here's what happened," he said. Herbert Hoover -- not Roosevelt -- was president in 1929, and television had not yet been invented in 1929.

-- During a Sept. 12, 2008, speech in Columbia, Mo., Biden called for Missouri State Sen. Chuck Graham, who is wheelchair-bound, to "stand up."

"Oh, God love ya," Biden said, after realizing his mistake. "What am I talking about?"

-- At a Sept. 10, 2008, town hall meeting in Nashua, N.H., Biden said, "Hillary Clinton is as qualified or more qualified than I am to be vice president of the United States of America. Quite frankly, it might have been a better pick than me."

-- Biden mistakenly referred to Alaska governor Sarah Palin as the "lieutenant governor" of her state during a town hall meeting on Sept. 4, 2008 at George Mason University in Manassas, Va.

"I heard a very, by the way I mean this sincerely, a very strong and a very good political speech from a lieutenant governor of Alaska who I think is going to be very formidable, very formidable not only in the campaign but in the debate," Biden said.

-- Biden said he was running for president -- not vice president -- during a Sept. 1, 2008, roundtable discussion in Scranton, Pa.

"Today is the moment for me as a United States senator running for president to put aside the national politics and focus on what's happening down there," Biden said.

-- Biden referred to John McCain as "George" during his vice presidential acceptance speech on Aug. 27, 2008, at the Democratic National Convention in Denver, Co. "Freudian slip, folks, Freudian slip," he explained.

-- Biden confused army brigades with battalions when speaking about Obama's plan for sending troops to Afghanistan.

"Or should we trust Barack Obama, who more than a year ago called for sending two additional combat brigades to Afghanistan?"

-- During his first campaign rally with Obama as his vice presidential running mate on Aug. 23, 2008, Biden introduced Obama by saying, "A man I'm proud to call my friend. A man who will be the next President of the United States -- Barack America!"

-- On Jan. 31, 2007 -- the day Biden announced his presidential bid -- the Delaware Senator was roundly criticized for calling Obama "the first mainstream African-American who is articulate and bright and clean and a nice-looking guy. I mean, that's a storybook, man."

Nobody Watches CNN

The ratings are in and CNN gets smacked around again. Is it because Liberals don't like staying informed or is it because CNN just plain sucks?

FOXNEWS 3,390,000
MSNBC 1,210,000
CNN 1,070,000
CNN HEADLINE 909,000

What is awesome about these numbers is that CNN has two channels and still cant compete with Fox. If you add up CNN, CNN headlines and MSNBC, FOX still beats them.

This goes to show you that Liberal biased media just cant cut it. Just like Liberal talk radio, no body tunes in.

CNN Against Tea Parties

Does CNN wonder why their ratings are falling and Fox's is rising?

Response To 20/20 If I Only Had A Gun

JOHN LOTT: ABC’s Shameful ‘20/20′ Experiment

By John R. Lott, Jr.

Gun control advocates look desperate. Last Friday night, on April 10, ABC aired a heavily promoted, hour long “20/20″ special called “If I Only Had a Gun.” It is ABC’s equivalent of NBC’s infamous exploding gas tanks in General Motors pickups where NBC rigged the truck to explode. With legislation in Texas and Missouri advancing to eliminate gun-free zones at universities, perhaps this response isn’t surprising.

The show started and ended by claiming that allowing potential victims to carry guns would not help keep them safe –- not even with hundreds of hours of practice firing guns.

No mention was made of the actual multiple victim public shootings stopped by people with concealed handguns nor did they describe who actually carried out such shootings. Instead, ABC presented a rigged experiment where one student in a classroom had a gun. But sometimes even the best editors can’t hide everything the camera sees.

Go Here to read the rest.

Happy Tea Party Day

The tea parties are in full force all across America. I wish I could go but I missed the last two weeks of work and cant take the time off.

Is the Media covering it? Well we know Fox is but most of the others are only throwing small bits of info out there. I know that Lansing, Michigan has a huge gathering yet local news says there is a hundred. Media do your job, quit trying to spin stuff.

These protests are about the heavy hand of the Federal Government. Quit taxing us and do what the federal government is meant to do, deliver the mail and keep us safe. Firearms, healthcare, education, infrastructure, and tons of others are state rights not federal.

I also love how Obama came out today and said he is giving us a tax break. Did you know that next year you have to give that money back? What about the raise in taxes on Tobacco, Alcohol, Cell Phones, Electricity, Gas, Water, and on and on. Keep piling them on and see how the next protests are.

Don't Mess With Texas; Resolution Affirming Texas Sovereignty Under 10th Amendment

I love it. I just wish Michigan wasn't a Democrat state and had the balls to do something like this. Perry, I wish you were my Governor. Will this tell Washington anything? No, but if more States join in it might.

*****UPDATE******

I was wrong. Michigan does have a bill.

ACORN To Bust Tea Parties, Media Not Covering

Looks like ACORN, which is Barack Obamas funded group, may be packing up its paid protesters and sending them to some of the Tea Parties. Why would they do this? Well, people at these parties are just fringe Conservatives, at least that's what ACORN says.

I say these people have had enough and want to be heard, but will they? Currently the only people talking about this is Fox News. CNN, ABC, CBS, and MSNBC haven't said a peep about it, at least what I have seen. I haven't even seen local news or papers say anything. If this was a planned war protest it would have been plastered all over the news. That's your Liberal Media for you, thank god we have Fox.

Whats funny is I read a bunch of Liberal blogs and I love how they are slamming these. They are complaining about the parties and asking what they are for. The 1st Amendment is only relevant when they want to use it.

We are sick of governments first answer to budget shortfalls being taxes. We are sick of big government pushing us around. This is not a Republican or Democrat rally. These rallies are about Americans and how the Government has messed up.

20/20 "If I Only Had A Gun"

My father called me and said there was a special on from them. I only caught the end of it.

This was a blatant anti gun show. It did not show one good story of self defense. They set up situations where someone would burst into this so called class room and let one person have a small paint gun. This is supposed to be scientific? The person running in knows who has the gun so they went right for them.

This 20/20 show is hack journalism in its finest. Why not call the NRA and have them say the other side to it? Oh, I know, because they will prove you wrong. All this does is try to get people to be more anti gun then they already are. It is a fear tactic.

Barack Obamas Approval Ratings

The more Obama pushes his socialist agenda, the more he will fall. Hopefully the media actually covers the tea parties on tax day, it should shoot that disapproval up.

United States Allows North Korea To Test Rocket

Looks like Obama has succeeded in turning this nation into a sissy nation. We will now bow to the will of every dictator country out there. This is just disgusting.

SEOUL, South Korea – North Korea defiantly carried out a provocative rocket launch Sunday that the U.S., Japan and other nations suspect was a cover for a test of its long-range missile technology.

Liftoff took place at 11:30 a.m. (0230GMT) Sunday from the coastal Musudan-ri launch pad in northeastern North Korea, the South Korean and U.S. governments said. The multistage rocket hurtled toward the Pacific, reaching Japanese airspace within seven minutes, but no debris appeared to hit its territory, officials in Tokyo said.

The U.N. Security Council approved an emergency session for Sunday afternoon in New York, following a request from Japan that came minutes after the launch.

The South Koreans called it "reckless," the Americans "provocative," and Japan said it strongly protested the launch.

I question if Obama has this country at heart or if he is here to destroy it. Seriously, come on.

John Rich: Shutting Detroit Down Video

People should watch this video and think. Why would we dump so much money into the banking industry with no strings attached, yet demand so much for a LOAN to the Auto Industry? You Union folks should really listen, is Obama, the one the UAW backed, really there for you?

For all those Democrats in Ann Arbor that buy nothing but Toyota, SHAME ON YOU!!!! My father is UAW and worked hard all his life, same with my Grandfather. I don't support the UAW but I do support the workers. BUY AMERICAN CARS!!!!!

Obama To Give Money To World Bank

LONDON (AP) - Prime Minister Gordon Brown says leaders at the G-20 summit have agreed to give $1 trillion to the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank to help struggling nations around the world.

Brown also says the 20 countries at the summit will enact common policies to crack down on tax havens, regulate hedge funds, and rebuild trust in the financial system to "prevent a crisis such as this from happening again."

He says the G-20 nations will also give emerging powers a greater say in the world economy.

Brown did not outline any new fiscal measures but says that the stimulus packages already announced by major nations have already been the biggest in history.

I wonder how much we are going to have to dump into this? Shouldn't we be worrying about ourselves? Just saying.
