Iran Says Obama's Offer To Talk Shows US Failure

Looks like Obama is already destroying our Political Power. We are the strongest nation in the world and we need the rest of the world to believe that also. Bush did seem like a cowboy but it kept country's at bay. Closing Gitmo and this are only the first problems we will see.

US President Barack Obama's offer to talk to Iran shows that America's policy of "domination" has failed, the government spokesman said on Saturday.

"This request means Western ideology has become passive, that capitalist thought and the system of domination have failed," Gholam Hossein Elham was quoted as saying by the Mehr news agency.

"Negotiation is secondary, the main issue is that there is no way but for (the United States) to change," he added.

After nearly three decades of severed ties, Obama said shortly after taking office this month that he is willing to extend a diplomatic hand to Tehran if the Islamic republic is ready to "unclench its fist".

In response, Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad launched a fresh tirade against the United States, demanding an apology for its "crimes" against Iran and saying he expected "deep and fundamental" change from Obama.

Iranian politicians frequently refer to the US administration as the "global arrogance", "domineering power" and "Great Satan".

Tensions with the United States have soared over Iran's nuclear drive and Ahmadinejad's vitriolic verbal attacks against Washington's close regional ally Israel.

Former US president George W. Bush refused to hold talks with the Islamic republic -- which he dubbed part of an "axis of evil" -- unless it suspended uranium enrichment, and never took a military option to thwart Tehran's atomic drive off the table.

The new administration of Obama has also refused to rule out any options -- including military strikes -- to stop Tehran from acquiring a nuclear weapon.

Iran denies any plans to build the bomb and insists its nuclear programme is solely aimed at peaceful ends.

The Party Of Michael Steele

Congrats to Michael Steele in being elected RNC chairman. The Republicans have changed guards and hopefully Mr. Steele will be able to empower the base and win us back the House. In my eyes that should be the number one job.

"We're going to say to friend and foe alike: 'We want you to be a part of us, we want you to with be with us.' And for those who wish to obstruct, get ready to get knocked over," Steele said.

"There is not one inch of ground that we're going to cede to anybody," he added.

"This is the dawn of a new party moving in a new direction with strength and conviction."

I love these words. This is what has hurt the Republicans, besides the Democrats having the Media on their sides.

Steele is also the first black RNC chairman that the Republican party has had. Will this help them with black people? I doubt it, but Steele was right for the job.

Lets move this party forward and kick the Liberals out of the House of Representatives.

Environmentalists Kill Jobs In California

Strike another one up to the Environmentalists. In California the Enhanced Vapor Recovery System will force dozens of gas stations to close their doors. Do you think that the Enviro wackos care? Na, they only care about the myth of Global Warming. Sure is cold out here isn't it? I could use some warming right about now.

Among them is George Fasching, who after 31 years of selling gasoline at Fasching's Car Wash in Arcadia, stopped in December.

"I came to the decision that I was too small a volume operator to continue on with the expenses imposed by the bureaucracy of the state," Fasching said.

April's requirements would have cost him $35,000, he said. Fasching used to sell the gasoline as a convenience for his car wash customers, and blames the new regulations for forcing him to stop.

"It will have some effect on my business, but at least I have the relief that I don't have to deal with these people anymore," he said.

As of the end of December 2008, the South Coast Air Quality Management District had heard back from 3,109 of its 4,500 sites about EVR Phase II.

Seventy-six - or 2.4 percent - indicated they will be shutting down on April 1, 2009 rather than upgrade their sites, said Dimitri Stanich, public information officer for the California Air Resources Board.

Some 1,400 of the SCAQMD's sites have not yet responded. About 12,000 dispensing facilities will be affected statewide.

This is kind of like what Obamas rules on statewide MPG regulation will do, but that will close down Auto Manufacturing.

Democrats Own Stimulus Package

Finally the Republicans have grown some balls. Thank you to the Democrats for getting our moderate wimps kicked out of office. Without that you would have been able to say this was bi- partisan because one or two Republicans would have voted for it. Happily I can say that not one did and even eleven Democrats voted against it.

Here is the breakdown:

Voting yes were 244 Democrats and 0 Republicans.

Voting no were 11 Democrats and 177 Republicans.

So that's 244 - 188 for a $819 billion dollar pork, opps I mean, stimulus package. As in $819,000,000,000 package. That is HUGE.

Obama could not pull any Republicans because all he did was parade some into his office and act like he cared. He never really intended on doing anything that they asked and at one point even told them that "I won." Who does that? If President Bush would have the media would have went crazy.

People you need to wake up and see what you put in power. This is nothing more then a HUGE pork package that the Democrats have fooled you into thinking is a stimulus package. When there is $335,000,000 allocated to STD prevention in a stimulus package, you know there is problems. Don't forget about the money allocated to ACORN and the $600,000,000 allocated to "Get the country ready for Universal Health care."

This is a Democrat Stimulus Package and if it fails, it is all their faults.

Everyone else is talking about what's in the $825 billion stimulus package, but here's the one thing I want to know: How can we let the government get away with calling it a "stimulus" in the first place?

Let's break down the numbers on this with the help of those non-partisan, radical hate-mongers over at the Congressional Budget Office.

According to the CBO, only $26 billion — just over 3 percent — will be spent this year. Another $110 billion — or 13 percent — will be spent next year. Which means that by the time President Obama's term is halfway through, just 16 percent of the money will have been spent.

I thought President Obama said this is supposed to be a quick "jolt" to the economy?

The president has also billed the stimulus as an investment in America's infrastructure. And if that were true, I'd be all for it. I mean, I-95 here on the East Coast isn't exactly the autobahn. Yet only 3 percent — just $30 billion — of this entire package is dedicated to road and highway spending.

Then you have the promise about creating "green jobs" and clean energy.

Again, you want to seriously get wind and solar and nuclear power off the ground, I'm in. But this isn't serious. Only 2 percent of the money is earmarked for clean energy and only 1/7th of that will be spent over the next 2 years.

The CBO tells us that billions of dollars are going to buy new computers and replace government cars with new alternative fuel vehicles. In all, the money is going to 150 different federal programs — from Amtrak to the TSA — and it's not clear a single new job will be created.

America, let's call a spade a spade: This package isn't meant to stimulate the economy, it's meant to reshape it.

If President Obama, Nancy Pelosi and the rest of the progressives really believe that socialism is the best way out of this mess and the best way forward for America, then make the case. Let's debate it and allow the American people to decide.

But what they're doing now — using fear to promote long-term changes to the country — is exactly the kind of thing that has led to the biggest deficit of all: The deficit of trust we now have in our leaders.

Hiking Fuel Rules Will Destroy American Car Industry

I thought the point of this Stimulus was to get America back on track? I am against it since for every $1 that helps us $4 goes to pork. Lets say it does help though, then why would you go after the Car Industry on MPG? This will cost them Billions. Billions they don't have.

I know why, its called pandering to special interests. Environmental wackos.

Courage and common sense were invoked by President Barack Obama Monday as he signed orders that will push fuel economy standards well ahead of affordable technology and create a crazy quilt of regulations for making vehicles. But the new president showed neither quality.

Obama has set the wrong priority. His main job should be to get America working again.

Common sense would suggest that automakers submerged in red ink won't be able to pony up the estimated tens of billions of dollars the latest government mandates will require in research and development costs. And that allowing individual states to supersede federal tailpipe emission standards will make a joke of interstate commerce.

And yet Obama went ahead with orders to the Environmental Protection Agency to review whether California and other states should be allowed to set their own emissions standards. The EPA is expected to quickly grant the states that power, something the Bush administration opposed.

That will place the automakers at the mercy of the most environmentally goofy states -- such as California and Vermont -- and subject them to regulations that vary across the country. For example, California's standard would translate to 44 miles per gallon in 2020 compared with the federal standard of 35 mpg.

Meeting the whims of California's regulators will cost Detroit's Big Three more than $100 billion, according to David Cole of the Center for Automotive Research, money they don't now have and aren't likely to get, unless the federal government intends to write more checks.

The early operating philosophy of the Obama administration is that if former President George W. Bush did it, it must be undone.

Obama also ordered the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration to set higher fuel efficiency standards for 2011 by March 31, and indicated that the standards for the years to follow would be progressively tougher.

Automakers are faced with reinventing themselves on an extremely short timetable and in a way that no one is sure that consumers will embrace. That doesn't make any kind of sense.

As for courage, Obama passed on the opportunity to do something truly courageous, such as raising the gasoline tax to discourage consumption. Federal fuel economy mandates have failed to reduce the demand for gasoline. But last summer's $4-a-gallon pump prices worked wonders in curbing the national appetite and cutting the miles driven.

A higher gasoline tax would accomplish Obama's goals faster and more efficiently than the moves he made Monday.

It would also bring political backlash from consumers who want the entire burden for conservation to rest on the manufacturers.

But they also ultimately will pay for all of this new regulation.

The technology required to meet the standards Obama and California are imposing will add another $5,000 to $15,000 to the sticker price of a vehicle. That will make owning a new car a very elite experience.

Average Americans, who will also see the price of nearly everything else they purchase soar as regulatory extremism spreads to other areas of the economy, will be priced out of the new car market. And American auto workers will lose jobs.

Although Obama promises his tougher environmental stance will create green technology jobs, those jobs are still a future concept.

The jobs he is risking today in the auto industry are very real.

New York Governor Paterson picked Kirsten Gillibrand to replace Hillary Clinton. Great pick for New York.

Gillibrand is not one of the nut job Liberal wackos that you would expect from New York. She is Conservative on some issues, like gun rights. She is NRA backed, which causes me to give her a thumbs up.

Americas New Approach To Terror

Looks like President Obama is ready to start throwing pansies at the Terrorists. Well, OK its not that bad, Yet.

Obama signed an executive order to close Guantanamo bay and to not allow water boarding of terrorists.

First off, terrorists are not people. If it takes water boarding a terrorist to save thousands of Americans, then so be it. Do you expect these people to talk with out some sort of incentive? These people are ready to die for their cause. Personally I think we should use more extreme measures, but what do I know.

Guantanamo bay SHOULD NOT BE CLOSED. Do you want these people being held on our soil? I don't. Where are we going to ship them? From what I have heard he plans to just release some of them. Release them?! What the hell.

Guantanamo Bay Navel Base is a strategic base. Should we close the bases in South Korea and Germany too? It is just plan stupid. If we close the prison we better not close the base, but with the Anti Military Democrats in charge, I wouldn't doubt it.

Here we go people. The destruction of our way of life has begun. According to these first few things, we must bend our will to the United Nations.

Thank you for keeping us safe after 9/11. The terrorists tried bringing a war to our lands, you reversed it and took it too theirs. You built Home Land Security and bolstered our Intelligence agencies. Doing all of this, has caused tons of thwarted plots on our soil and saved thousands of lives.

You have served this country proudly and not once wavered because the polls said people did not like what you were doing. The United States Citizens don't know what is good for them. Most have no idea but from what the Media has told them.

You are attacked repeatedly because the misguided Democrats under control by the hard core left having twisted everything you have done. Why have they done this? Only for power. That is all that they want. So in doing this they have taken a good man, that would do anything for this country, and tried making him look like a fool. Don't worry though, us people with a brain know who the fools are.

You have went through more as a President then any other. Two wars, Hurricanes, Floods, Economical meltdowns and countless other problems. You have handled most with compassion and dignity and for this I thank you.

In closing, you deserve to go back to your ranch in Crawford Texas and just kick back, go fishing or hunting and watch as the Democrats now destroy everything that this country has stood for.

Obama Inauguration Costs Extreme

Back when President Bush was sworn in, the Left was going crazy that his inauguration was going to cost between $40,000,000 and $50,000,000. They were complaining that it should be a small event since we were spending all that money in Iraq.

Well, what is Obama going to spend?

There are estimates that it is going to cost $100,000,000. That is double what Bush spent. I would not doubt that the cost soars above that.

Where is the Left now? That's right its the Messiah Obama and not the Devil Bush. So why complain?

Well I am complaining. We have two wars going on and we just gave how much money to banks? This is frivolous spending for an arrogant man. You know damn well he will be loving every minute of the Obama love fest.
