Barbara Boxer Slams Brigadier General
I am sure that someone will say that I am being petty for bringing this up, but I am not. The military address's all men by sir and all women by ma'am. That is how it is and how it has been for years. It doesn't matter if they are a Senator, 5 star General or the President.
Barbara Boxer has not earned anything. She was elected to a position that special interest money and negative campaigning helped her get. She is part of the privileged class.
On the other hand you have a Brigadier General that has actually earned his position. Boxer was just trying to put him in his place.
Boxer you need to realize that most of America does not like Congress but we love our Military. You wonder why most Military vote Republican.
Oh and if you notice, I didn't call you Senator once.

Also, the fact that he is a brigadier general is important: for him to refer to her as ma'am is quite an honor, considering his rank. If I was a woman, I would be deeply honored if a brigadier general referred to me as "ma'am."
I like your blog; keep me posted.
