Friends Of Barack Obama

You have to watch this video of Barack Obama's friends. Tony Rezko, Bill Ayers, Rev. Jeremiah Wright, Frank Marshall Davis, Rev. James Meek, Rashid Khalidi, Acorn, Father Michael Pfleger and George Soros are just to name a few. All of these people are Scam Artists, Racists, Terrorists, and more.

This just shows that Barack Obama is no better then Detroit's Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick.

Ban This, Ban, That, Ban Everything

This is what is wrong with this country. If someone does not like something, instead of just not participating in it, they want everyone to stop doing it.

Check this Video out. It says a lot. Just remember who the party of the "BAN" is.

Obama Sowing Socialist Seeds In Young People

This is a great op-ed from Jon Voight, the Academy Award winning actor. It was in the Washington Times.

We, as parents, are well aware of the importance of our teachers who teach and program our children. We also know how important it is for our children to play with good-thinking children growing up.

Sen. Barack Obama has grown up with the teaching of very angry, militant white and black people: the Rev. Jeremiah Wright, Louis Farrakhan, William Ayers and Rev. Michael Pfleger. We cannot say we are not affected by teachers who are militant and angry. We know too well that we become like them, and Mr. Obama will run this country in their mindset.

The Democratic Party, in its quest for power, has managed a propaganda campaign with subliminal messages, creating a God-like figure in a man who falls short in every way. It seems to me that if Mr. Obama wins the presidential election, then Messrs. Farrakhan, Wright, Ayers and Pfleger will gain power for their need to demoralize this country and help create a socialist America.

The Democrats have targeted young people, knowing how easy it is to bring forth whatever is needed to program their minds. I know this process well. I was caught up in the hysteria during the Vietnam era, which was brought about through Marxist propaganda underlying the so-called peace movement. The radicals of that era were successful in giving the communists power to bring forth the killing fields and slaughter 2.5 million people in Cambodia and South Vietnam. Did they stop the war, or did they bring the war to those innocent people? In the end, they turned their backs on all the horror and suffering they helped create and walked away.

Those same leaders who were in the streets in the '60s are very powerful today in their work to bring down the Iraq war and to attack our president, and they have found their way into our schools. William Ayers is a good example of that.

Thank God, today, we have a strong generation of young soldiers who know exactly who they are and what they must do to protect our freedom and our democracy. And we have the leadership of Gen. David Petraeus, who has brought hope and stability to Iraq and prevented the terrorists from establishing a base in that country. Our soldiers are lifting us to an example of patriotism at a time when we've almost forgotten who we are and what is at stake

If Mr. Obama had his way, he would have pulled our troops from Iraq years ago and initiated an unprecedented bloodbath, turning over that country to the barbarianism of our enemies. With what he has openly stated about his plans for our military, and his lack of understanding about the true nature of our enemies, there's not a cell in my body that can accept the idea that Mr. Obama can keep us safe from the terrorists around the world, and from Iran, which is making great strides toward getting the atomic bomb. And while a misleading portrait of Mr. Obama is being perpetrated by a media controlled by the Democrats, the Obama camp has sent out people to attack the greatness of Sen. John McCain, whose suffering and courage in a Hanoi prison camp is an American legend.

Gen. Wesley Clark, who himself has shame upon him, having been relieved of his command, has done their bidding and become a lying fool in his need to demean a fellow soldier and a true hero.

This is a perilous time, and more than ever, the world needs a united and strong America. If, God forbid, we live to see Mr. Obama president, we will live through a socialist era that America has not seen before, and our country will be weakened in every way.

Michigan To Add Deposit On Water Bottles?

We already have the highest deposit of anyone in the country at 10 Cents. Now the environmental people want us to pay that on water and juice bottles. This all in a time when the Democratically controlled state is in a huge decline.

This is what Earth 911 has on it.

The Michigan United Conservation Clubs is looking to expand the state’s existing bottle bill to cover juice and water bottles, as the state currently recycles only 20 percent of its plastic water bottles.

Michigan is the only state in the U.S. to include a 10 cent deposit on the purchase of beverages including soda cans and beer bottles. Recycling these containers provides a refund to encourage recycling, and in Michigan has resulted in 97 percent recycling participation for qualified containers.

Among the issues at play over whether to increase coverage of Michigan’s bottle bill:

1) The increased responsibility by Michigan grocers to handle and sort the new bottles

2) Whether the 10 cent deposit will be enough to cover costs associated with more recycling

3) A potential increase in “recycling fraud” from out-of-state residents, since no neighboring states offer a financial reward for recycling containers

It will require a 75 percent approval from the Michigan legislature to amend the original law, passed in 1976. Grocers are looking for an amendment that requires Michigan containers to have special marking designed to reject out-of-state bottles and cans.

Detroit Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick Assaults Officer

I know that if I assaulted an officer or even laid a hand on him then I would be in jail. Kwame though, being the thug Mayor that he is, can get away with it.

Will Jennifer Granholm actually remove the Mayor from office? I highly doubt it, he is a Democrat just like her, but if he was a Republican then she would have already ousted him. Scratch that, if he was a Republican then the Republicans would have already tried getting him ousted.

Here is some videos of what happened.

Obama To The Wounded Troops: Sorry I Can Only See You If The Media Shows It

This is from Politico:

Chief Pentagon spokesman Geoff Morrell confirmed to Politico that Department of Defense officials cautioned Barack Obama's campaign that his planned visit to wounded American troops in Germany could not be political in nature and that he would be barred from bringing along campaign staff and reporters. He also said that Cindy McCain recently requested to visit sailors aboard the U.S.N.S. Comfort and was denied.

"Sen. Obama is welcome to visit Landstuhl or any military hospital in his official capacity as a United States senator," Morrell said in a brief interview. "But there is a DOD policy which governs campaigning and electioneering at military facilities that would have to be respected if he were to visit. That distinction was relayed and made clear to campaign, and they made a decision on their own based on that guidance."

Morrell, in a subsequent interview, added that military officials told Obama he could only visit the military facility with his Secret Service detail and Senate staff.

"We made it clear to him that campaign staff and press would not be permitted to accompany him," Morrell said of Obama. "We relayed those ground rules. They made a choice based upon the information we relayed to them. It was their choice. We had nothing to do with it."

Military personnel at Ramstein Air Force Base, where the senator was to fly into, had already made arrangements to accommodate Obama's traveling press pack and campaign staff while he visited the wounded troops, Morrell said.

This just shows that Barack does not care about our troops. All he cares about is making sure that the media makes him look good.

Democratic National Convention Not Paying Gas Taxes

The committee hosting the Democratic National Convention is using the city's gas pumps to fill up on fuel, avoiding state and federal highway taxes, officials said today.

"There's something there that just doesn't seem right to me because, in a sense, you're saying then that the officials who pass the laws are not willing to live by them, and that concerns me," Councilwoman Jeanne Faatz said.

It is nice of Denver to forgo bringing in taxes to help save Barack Obamas campaign some money, but it is not right. The DNC is a political party. It should not get any benefits like this. These people are trying to get someone elected and are not dignitaries.

You can pay the taxes but they don't have too.

Barack Obama Has Fake Interviews Over Seas

Barack Obama And His Friends On The Iraq Surge

First the list of quotes from the anti surge crowd.

• Democrat Joe Biden, Jan. 2007: "If he surges another 20, 30 [thousand], or whatever number he's going to, into Baghdad, it'll be a tragic mistake."

• Democrat Barack Obama, Jan. 2007: "I am not persuaded that 20,000 additional troops in Iraqis going to solve the sectarian violence there. In fact, I think it will do the reverse."

• Democrat Hillary Clinton, Jan. 2007: "I cannot support [the] proposed escalation of the war in Iraq."• Democrat Barack Obama, Jan 2007: "I don't think the president's [surge] strategy is going to work."

• Democrat John Kerry, Feb. 2007: "The simple fact is that sending in over 20,000 additional troops isn't the answer--in fact, it's a tragic mistake. It won't end the violence; it won't provide security; ...it won't turn back the clock and avoid the civil war that is already underway; it won't deter terrorists, who have a completely different agenda; it won't rein in the militias."

• Democrat Dennis Kucinich, Feb. 2007: "It has been proven time and time again that troop surges don't work."

• Democrat Harry Reid, Apr. 2007: "The war is lost... This surge is not accomplishing anything."

• Democrat Christopher Dodd, Apr. 2007: "We don't need a surge of troops in Iraq... there is no military solution in Iraq. To insist upon a surge is wrong."

• Democrat Barack Obama, Jul. 2007: "My assessment is that the surge has not worked."

• Democrat Dick Durbin, Aug. 2007: "By carefully manipulating the statistics, the Bush-Petraeus report will try to persuade us that violence in Iraq is decreasing and thus the surge is working. Even if the figures were right, the conclusion is wrong."

• Democrat Jan Schakowsky, Aug. 2007: "I believe overall the surge is a failure. ...It’s clear to me we cannot win..."• Democrat Joe Biden, Sep. 2007: "We should stop the surge and start bringing our troops home... [When asked whether Iraq closer to political reconciliation than before the surge began, and would continuing the operation stop the killing between Sunnis, Shi'ites and Kurds?] ...The answer to both those questions is no."

• Democrat John Kerry, Sep. 2007: ""The president's escalation ... has failed to achieve its goal of bringing about a resolution of the fundamental conflict between Sunni and Shi'ite."

• Democrat Chris Dodd, Sep. 2007: "It pains me to say that ... the surge tactic is a failure — and that failure is reconfirmed everyday by unfolding events in Iraq."

• Democrat Barack Obama, Oct. 2007: "[The surge is a] complete failure... Iraq’s leaders are not reconciling. They are not achieving political benchmarks."

• Democrat Harry Reid, Nov. 2007: "It is indisputable that the goals of the surge have failed."

• Democrat Joe Biden, Nov. 2007: "This whole notion that the surge is working is fantasy."

• Democrat Nancy Pelosi, Feb. 2008: "There haven't been gains [in Iraq]... The gains have not produced the desired effect, which is the reconciliation of Iraq. This is a failure. This is a failure."

• Democrat Carl Levin, Apr. 2008: "...the purpose of the surge as announced by President Bush last year... has not been achieved"

• Democrat Joe Biden, Apr. 2008: "The purpose of the surge was to bring violence in Iraq down so that its leaders could come together politically. Violence has come down, but the Iraqis have not come together... We Democrats understand that this war must end..."

• Democrat Bill Richardson, Jun. 2008: "[when asked if he was ready to concede that John McCain had been right in proposing the surge, said] "Absolutely not."

Thanks to Doug Ross for this list.

Now we know that the Surge in Iraq has worked. Even the Main stream media said so, which was a surprise. The Surge was a George Bush idea, so the Democrats naturally would have been against it.

Well here is what Barack has to say about the Surge, knowing that it worked.

Terry Moran with ABC News: “‘[T]he surge of U.S. troops, combined with ordinary Iraqis’ rejection of both al Qaeda and Shiite extremists have transformed the country.

Attacks are down more than 80% nationwide. U.S. combat casualties have plummeted, five this month so far, compared with 78 last July, and Baghdad has a pulse again.’

If you had to do it over again, knowing what you know now, would you — would you support the surge?”

Obama: “No, because — keep in mind that -”

Moran: “You wouldn’t?”

Obama: “Well, no, keep — these kinds of hypotheticals are very difficult . Hindsight is 20/20. I think what I am absolutely convinced of is that at that time, we had to change the political debate, because the view of the Bush administration at that time was one that I just disagreed with.”

What? So basically you are saying that even though George Bush had a good idea you still would not have went with it, even thought it saved a lot of lives? You also are calling for a surge in Afghanistan, so what is the difference?

Could Michigan Vote For McCain?

Michigan is a blue state. The media calls us a swing state or a battle ground state but we really are not. This state has not voted for a Republican for President since Reagan and the Democrats run 2 of the branches of government. We also have 2 Democrat senators. So could this state really swing to McCain?

Obama has the support of 43 percent of likely Michigan voters, to 41 percent for McCain, according to the survey conducted for The News and WXYZ by Lansing's EPIC-MRA. That's well within the surveys 4 percentage point error margin. A potentially decisive 12 percent say they're still undecided, and 5 percent chose third-party candidates Bob Barr or Ralph Nader.

This is huge for McCain.

Overall, voters look at both men positively: 51 percent have a favorable view of Obama, to 37 percent unfavorable. McCain's positives are even better: 58 percent favorable to 32 percent unfavorable.

McCain needs to keep hammering Obama in this state. The people need to know the real Obama.

Will Reform Group Trip Up Granholm, Cherry?

This was written by Richard Burr who blogs on The Detroit News.

The Michigan Chamber of Commerce is preparing to file a complaint with the state against Reform Michigan Government Now, alleging that the group broke the law by not registering as a ballot group in 2007. And it is asking intriguing questions about the governor and lieutenant governor's involvement in the project.

The PowerPoint presentation that the Mackinac Center for Public Policy found on a UAW web site shows that the aim of the proposal isn't bipartisan reform. It is to rig the Constitution to put Democrats in charge of all three branches of government. The PowerPoint about "Changing the rules of politics in Michigan to help Democrats" was made on Nov. 21, 2007.

"...the creation date of the PowerPoint presentation proves conclusively that RMGN was required to file as a ballot question committee in 2007, not as (it) did on February 22, 2008 when (its) statement of organization was filed with the Secretary of State," says Bob LaBrant, general counsel for the Michigan Chamber of Commerce. "If RMGN had registered back in 2007 as required, (it)would have been required to file an annual report that was due January 31, 2008 disclosing their contributors and expenditures."

The chamber also thinks that PowerPoint presentation shows the group did "at least $75,000 to $100,000" of more in polling work (two statewide surveys and nine focus groups from May to November 2007). That would violate the $500 threshold requiring registration as a ballot question committee, LaBrant contends.

This issue also raises the possibility of ensnarling Lt. Gov. John Cherry and Gov. Jennifer Granholm in the investigation. Both say they invested some political money in the research. But the chamber couldn't find any spending of money in the public record.

Here's LaBrant's poignant question: "Perhaps 'PowerPoint-gate' will lead to a similar question being asked of the governor and lieutenant governor: 'When and in what amount did they contribute, and to whom did they write the check?'"

New York Times Rejects McCain's Editorial After Excepting Obama's

An editorial written by John McCain was rejected, a week after it published one from Barack Obama. Is this blatent media biased?

'It would be terrific to have an article from Senator McCain that mirrors Senator Obama's piece,' NYT Op-Ed editor David Shipley explained in an email late Friday to McCain's staff. 'I'm not going to be able to accept this piece as currently written.'

David Shipley was a Special Assistant to the President and Senior Presidential Speechwriter in the Clinton Administration from 1995 until 1997.

A top McCain source claims that the paper just does not agree with the Senators position on Iraq and wants him to change it.

'The Obama piece worked for me because it offered new information (it appeared before his speech); while Senator Obama discussed Senator McCain, he also went into detail about his own plans.' Shipley continues: 'It would be terrific to have an article from Senator McCain that mirrors Senator Obama's piece. To that end, the article would have to articulate, in concrete terms, how Senator McCain defines victory in Iraq.'

Here is John McCains editorial from The Drudge Report:

In January 2007, when General David Petraeus took command in Iraq, he called the situation “hard” but not “hopeless.” Today, 18 months later, violence has fallen by up to 80% to the lowest levels in four years, and Sunni and Shiite terrorists are reeling from a string of defeats. The situation now is full of hope, but considerable hard work remains to consolidate our fragile gains.

Progress has been due primarily to an increase in the number of troops and a change in their strategy. I was an early advocate of the surge at a time when it had few supporters in Washington. Senator Barack Obama was an equally vocal opponent. "I am not persuaded that 20,000 additional troops in Iraq is going to solve the sectarian violence there,” he said on January 10, 2007. “In fact, I think it will do the reverse."

Now Senator Obama has been forced to acknowledge that “our troops have performed brilliantly in lowering the level of violence.” But he still denies that any political progress has resulted.

Perhaps he is unaware that the U.S. Embassy in Baghdad has recently certified that, as one news article put it, “Iraq has met all but three of 18 original benchmarks set by Congress last year to measure security, political and economic progress.” Even more heartening has been progress that’s not measured by the benchmarks. More than 90,000 Iraqis, many of them Sunnis who once fought against the government, have signed up as Sons of Iraq to fight against the terrorists. Nor do they measure Prime Minister Nouri al Maliki’s new-found willingness to crack down on Shiite extremists in Basra and Sadr City—actions that have done much to dispel suspicions of sectarianism.

The success of the surge has not changed Senator Obama’s determination to pull out all of our combat troops. All that has changed is his rationale. In a New York Times op-ed and a speech this week, he offered his “plan for Iraq” in advance of his first “fact finding” trip to that country in more than three years. It consisted of the same old proposal to pull all of our troops out within 16 months. In 2007 he wanted to withdraw because he thought the war was lost. If we had taken his advice, it would have been. Now he wants to withdraw because he thinks Iraqis no longer need our assistance.

To make this point, he mangles the evidence. He makes it sound as if Prime Minister Maliki has endorsed the Obama timetable, when all he has said is that he would like a plan for the eventual withdrawal of U.S. troops at some unspecified point in the future.

Senator Obama is also misleading on the Iraqi military's readiness. The Iraqi Army will be equipped and trained by the middle of next year, but this does not, as Senator Obama suggests, mean that they will then be ready to secure their country without a good deal of help. The Iraqi Air Force, for one, still lags behind, and no modern army can operate without air cover. The Iraqis are also still learning how to conduct planning, logistics, command and control, communications, and other complicated functions needed to support frontline troops.

No one favors a permanent U.S. presence, as Senator Obama charges. A partial withdrawal has already occurred with the departure of five “surge” brigades, and more withdrawals can take place as the security situation improves. As we draw down in Iraq, we can beef up our presence on other battlefields, such as Afghanistan, without fear of leaving a failed state behind. I have said that I expect to welcome home most of our troops from Iraq by the end of my first term in office, in 2013.

But I have also said that any draw-downs must be based on a realistic assessment of conditions on the ground, not on an artificial timetable crafted for domestic political reasons. This is the crux of my disagreement with Senator Obama.

Senator Obama has said that he would consult our commanders on the ground and Iraqi leaders, but he did no such thing before releasing his “plan for Iraq.” Perhaps that’s because he doesn’t want to hear what they have to say. During the course of eight visits to Iraq, I have heard many times from our troops what Major General Jeffrey Hammond, commander of coalition forces in Baghdad, recently said: that leaving based on a timetable would be “very dangerous.”

The danger is that extremists supported by Al Qaeda and Iran could stage a comeback, as they have in the past when we’ve had too few troops in Iraq. Senator Obama seems to have learned nothing from recent history. I find it ironic that he is emulating the worst mistake of the Bush administration by waving the “Mission Accomplished” banner prematurely.

I am also dismayed that he never talks about winning the war—only of ending it. But if we don’t win the war, our enemies will. A triumph for the terrorists would be a disaster for us. That is something I will not allow to happen as president. Instead I will continue implementing a proven counterinsurgency strategy not only in Iraq but also in Afghanistan with the goal of creating stable, secure, self-sustaining democratic allies.

Democratically Controlled Congress Wants To Raise Taxes On Gas

Instead of giving Americans a small break on gas with the Summer Gas Tax Holiday, Congress wants to increase the tax that you pay on it. Lawmakers are quietly talking about raising fuel taxes by a dime from the current 18.4 cents a gallon on gasoline and 24.3 cents on diesel fuel.

With the Highway Trust Fund running out of money, Congress would rather make the drivers of America replenish it then stop wasting money with pork barrel spending.

Just three years ago, that trust fund enjoyed a surplus of $10 billion. Even without a tax freeze, the fund is projected to finish 2009 with a deficit of $3 billion. That that could grow as Americans drive less and buy less gas because of higher pump prices.

James Oberstar, D-Minn., said his committee is working on the next long-term highway bill. He estimated it will take between $450 billion and $500 billion over six years to address safety and congestion issues with highways, bridges and transit systems.

"We'll put all things on the table," Oberstar said, but the gas tax "is the cornerstone. Nothing else will work without the underpinning of the higher user fee gas tax."

Raising taxes on gas has a huge trickle effect that in the end only effects us, the American people. This will raise prices on just about everything since diesel fuel is used in all Semis.

People need to wake up and vote the Democrat Congress out.

Judy Truesdell, Bernard Bernie Jocuns, & Mike Huckleberry

I got this in my email on a few Democrats that are running for office.

As the state fell victim to a Democrat controlled House, voters and the media had to learn the hard way how Democrats can and will harm the state of Michigan. The Michigan Republican Party highlighted three troublesome candidates Michigan Democrats are touting as their top picks this week.

The first is Judy Truesdell of Niles who has had taxing problems, racking up 15 tax liens placed on her business in 12 years, raising questions about how she could focus all her attention on fixing Michigan’s financial problems when she has had so many financial problems of her own.

Next there is attorney Bernard “Bernie” Jocuns of North Branch who forged his client’s signature on a legal document without consent or knowledge. Now Jocuns, after being scolded by the state’s Attorney Discipline Board, seeks to represent Michigan residents of Lapeer County.

After that information was released “Bernie” as signs his own name by, angrily called to request the Michigan Republican Party tell his story. To fulfill this request it was revealed to members of the media and Lapeer county voters that Jocuns, a former defense attorney for mistaken parolee Patrick Selepak, appears to have also had some troubles paying his taxes.

According to the Lapeer County Register of Deeds office, Jocuns presently has two tax liens on his name from both the Michigan Department of Treasury and the Internal Revenue Service. Both liens were filed earlier this year and total to nearly $30,000.00 in unpaid taxes.

Finally, Mike Huckleberry of Greenville, who is hosting a campaign fundraiser this Saturday at “Huckleberry’s Restaurant” for his campaign. However, upon further inspection, attendees may want to bring their own lunch. The restaurant has been hit with more than 40 separate health-code violations since 2003. Some of the health-code violations handed out by the Mid-Michigan Health Department, Greenville Office.

Democrats Bamboozling Michigan Voters With The Government Reform Proposal

I told you. I said that the Government Reform Proposal was a blatant power grab from the Democrats. Their plan is to take over so that they can redistrict the state so the Republicans can never take back over. Watch out people this is not a good thing. This makes it so that the Democrats will never be ousted. Even if you are a Democrat, you should be against this since it would be wrong if the Republicans did something like this.

Charlie Cain / Detroit News Lansing Bureau

LANSING -- A PowerPoint presentation (heres a link to it) purportedly found on a union Web site may be the smoking gun that indicates Democrats and organized labor are behind the Reform Michigan Now ballot proposal that would result in a massive overhaul of state government in a single shot.
The presentation lays out the $4.9 million budget, rationale and advantages of the ballot drive to cherry-pick parts of the Michigan Constitution that Democrats believe have prevented them from taking control of state government.

To date, backers of the effort and Democratic Party leaders have refused to say who wrote the controversial proposal and who is bankrolling it. Without question, the proposal is chock-full of populist appeal to voters who polls have consistently shown are angered by the performance of state government. Parts of the plan definitely favor Democrats over Republicans.

The initiative, if it meets state standards and clears an expected court challenge, would allow voters to decide in November whether to rewrite the constitution to, among other things, shrink the size of the Legislature and the state's top courts, roll back legislative salaries and benefits and change the rules on legislative redistricting to give Democrats a better shot at controlling the House and Senate.

"To the extent that this document is what it appears to be, it leaves little doubt that the (ballot proposal) is a partisan power play," according to Paul Kersey, director of labor policy at the Mackinac Center for Public Policy, a Midland-based free-market oriented think tank that found the PowerPoint presentation on UAW Region 1-C Web site. The presentation, whose title page says "Changing the rules of politics in Michigan to help Democrats," is no longer on the Web site.

Kersey said the center finds appeal in many of the ballot proposal objectives that would make government smaller and less expensive.

But he said the Mackinac Center is concerned "that what motivated so much of it was partisan calculation."

He stopped short of saying the Michigan Democratic Party is orchestrating the ballot campaign, something state party chairman Mark Brewer emphatically denied as recently as last week.
"But there are references (in the presentation) to 'MDP' which I have to figure is the Michigan Democratic Party," Kersey said. "I don't want to speculate, but it does show the calculation was to benefit the Michigan Democratic Party."

Brewer, who has steadfastly denied playing a role in the drafting of the proposal, said in a statement Thursday: "I have been and continue to be supportive of this grassroots proposal that reforms the Michigan government. Provisions such as ethics reform and asset disclosure for elected officials would help create a more open and accountable government that works for the citizens of Michigan rather than the special interests that currently have too much control over the way business is done in Lansing."

A call to UAW Regional 1-C was not returned.

The Michigan Education Association, which represents teachers and other school employees, issued a statement Thursday saying it had not taken a position on the ballot proposal, which is under review by state election workers to see if it meets the form and the signature requirement to appear on the ballot. That review won't be completed for weeks.

"We have serious concerns about the legal issues surrounding the initiative," Ed Sarpolus, the MEA director of government affairs, said in a prepared statement.

The Detroit Regional Chamber announced Thursday that its board unanimously voted to oppose the nearly 20,000-word proposal.

"Transparency of who is leading the effort is important for voters, which is not publicly known right now," Richard Blouse Jr., president and CEO of the Detroit chamber, said in a press release. "The business community certainly recognizes the need for reforms in state government, especially when it comes to solving the problems of chronic budget deficits. However, it's important to be up front about these reforms so they can be fully vetted through open debate."

Dianne Byrum, the spokeswoman for the reform ballot initiative, said her group would disclose its financial backers when it has to legally report in August.

Still More Reporters Following Obama

This is just a follow up on the Media loving Obama. Tell me that the Media isnt biased.

This is from Brit Hume:

On his upcoming overseas trip, Barack Obama will be met along the way by the anchors of the three network evening newscasts. About 200 other journalists have also asked to join Obama during his trip.

But Howard Kurtz of The Washington Post reports that John McCain has taken three foreign trips in the past four months — all unaccompanied by a single network anchor and with little fanfare. The Tyndall Report, which monitors news coverage, says that since June the nightly newscasts on the three networks spent a combined 114 minutes covering Obama while devoting just 48 minutes to McCain.

Barack Obama The Rock Star, Big Media The Groupie

Barack Obama will be heading to Iraq soon and the Big Media will be going with him. Brian Williams, Katie Couric and Charlie Gibson will be there to support the Messiah. Barack I am sure will be walking around handing out candy to kids while acting like he is in support of the troops. Don't doubt that they will find the one or two troops that is actually for him to jump up and down like groupies at a rock concert.

The media will be in Iraq to help Obama and make him look like he actually has foreign experience. Do you actually think that the Media will give him tough questions? No, they will ask him simple questions that he will not stumble on. The Media should have to identify itself as a Democrat leaning 527 group.

This all makes me wonder, why? Why is Obama such a Rockstar?

Mainly he is because he can talk and gives people hope, but dig deeper. What is he actually talking about? The man has no plan and cant talk without a teleprompter. Barack has no substance. He is all smoke and mirrors and says the words that you want to hear.

The bad thing is that most Americans are sheep and don't actually research their candidate. I know that a good amount of the people that I have talked to that are voting for him only are because he is a Democrat.

Obama Rejects Town Hall Meeting With Veterans Group

Obama rejected but McCain agreed. Is Obama scared of what he will be asked since he has no Military experience? Earlier this year McCain offered to do 10 town hall meetings with Obama and Obama rejected that too. Come on Obama do you always have to have a teleprompter?

Here is the video on it.

Obama Will Rid The World Of Nuclear Weapons

Nuclear weapons are always troublesome in regimes that do not adhere to the Geneva convention. These regimes will not hesitate to give these weapons to terrorists with deep pockets no matter what they will do with them. So if Barack Obama wants to rid the world of them, is he thinking the first place to start is our own?

Obama said adhering to nonproliferation treaties would put pressure on nations such as North Korea and Iran. North Korea has tested a nuclear weapon and Iran has an energy program the Bush administration warns could be a precursor to nuclear weapon development.

"As long as nuclear weapons exist, we'll retain a strong deterrent. But we will make the goal of eliminating all nuclear weapons a central element in our nuclear policy," Obama said.

It is a great deterrent and all civilized nations know that if you fire one on us we will send two back. So to rid our stock piles of these weapons would take away that deterrent. If you think for one minute that China or Pakistan is giving there's up you are insane.

Nuclear weapons are here to stay, the only way to stop places like Iran and North Korea is by putting sanctions on them. North Korea is starting to come around, the next President needs to work on Iran not give into them.

Jack Hoogendyk For U.S. Senate

Carl Levin has been in office for way too long. During this time he has helped in destroying this country and pushing ultra liberal ideas on the American people. This is why I support Jack Hoogendyk for Senate.

After reading this you should notice that this man is nothing like the Bush administration and is a fresh start for Republicans. The only glaring issue that I do not support of his is his views on the Marriage Protection Amendment.

Here is Jack on important issues.

Jobs and the Economy

• I support making the current tax relief permanent. Taxes are too high.
• Business taxes must be lowered to provide more investment in Michigan's economy.
• I support permanently eliminating the death tax.
• I support free trade that mirrors the trade policies of other nations.
• I've never voted for a tax increase and never will.

Gas Prices and Energy

• We need to reduce our dependence on foreign oil.
• We must open up American oil fields for further exploration while protecting the environment. • I support the expansion of nuclear energy.

Securing Our Borders

• As the son of immigrants, I believe those who come here legally and obey the law should be able to pursue the American Dream. However, illegal immigration costs Michigan taxpayers hundreds of millions of dollars every year. I am committed to securing our borders and holding accountable employers who hire illegal immigrants.
• I support making English the official language.

National Security

• I oppose the Supreme Court's decision to grant foreign terrorists the same rights to legal representation as American citizens. Carl Levin praised this decision as "an important victory." I believe it was a victory for terrorists.
• FISA (the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act) when used properly to monitor foreign terror suspects who make electronic communication transmissions is an important tool in the war against terror. I support it. Carl Levin does not.

Wasteful Washington Spending

• Since taking office in 1978, Carl Levin has helped increase the national debt from $800 billion to almost $10 trillion. We need to pay down the national debt until it reaches zero.
• I am opposed to deficit spending. The federal budget should be balanced every year. Carl Levin was the deciding NO vote on the balanced budget amendment.
• We must not pass on this debt to our children, which is why I will fight out-of-control Washington spending and pork barrel projects.

Second Amendment

• I have an “A” rating from the National Rifle Association and will continue to defend the constitutional right to bear arms.

Public Education

• I am a supporter of local control of community schools. The best schools are those controlled by the parents and their designated board and administrators.

Preserving Traditional Values

• I believe that marriage should be between one man and one woman.
• I will vote for the federal Marriage Protection Amendment.

Human Life

• I believe that all people have a constitutionally guaranteed right to life from conception to natural death.
• I support adult stem cell research, which has produced more than 70 cures and continues to make progress. I do not support embryonic stem cell research because it has continually failed to produce any cures and requires the destruction of a human embryo, which is human life.

Nancy Pelosi Does Not Get It

Nancy Pelosi released the following statement yesterday on President Bush's announcement lifting the executive ban on drilling in protected coastal areas:

"Once again, the oilman in the White House is echoing the demands of Big Oil.

"The Bush plan is a hoax. It will neither reduce gas prices nor increase energy independence. It just gives millions more acres to the same companies that are sitting on nearly 68 million acres of public lands and coastal areas.

"If the President wants to bring down prices in the next two weeks, not the next two decades, he should free our oil by releasing a small portion of the more than 700 million barrels of oil we have put in the Strategic Petroleum Reserve.

"It's time to tell the oil industry: 'You already have millions of acres to drill. Use it or lose it.

Nancy the problem is that just because the oil companies have leased this land, doesn't mean that it actually has oil. Oil companies have to lease the land just to SEE if it has oil. Once leased they might as well hold onto it until the lease runs out.

The Strategic Petroleum Reserve is used in case there is a cut in the flow of oil to the United States. There is no flow problem, so why would we use it? Releasing some of the oil into production would do nothing to lower gas.

Nancy, your failed Environmentalist, Elitist views are not in line with the American people. We need to be energy independent and with you running the House we never will be. This is just another reason to keep the White House out of the Democrats hands.

Barack Obamas Plan

According to the nonpartisan National Taxpayers Union, Obama's fiscal agenda will cost $344 billion a year.

On top of government health care that would likely cost more than $100 billion a year, the Illinois senator's plans include:

• Shifting "$75 billion of stimulus into the economy by getting money in the form of tax cuts and direct spending directly to the people who need it most."

• A $1.7 billion Community Development Block Grant program featuring "a full range of housing, job training, and community development services."

• An "Affordable Housing Trust Fund" costing $2.7 billion over five years.

• A "Making Work Pay" tax credit to offset Social Security taxes costing $308 billion over five years.

• $2.5 billion over 10 years in trade adjustment assistance for service workers.

• $90 billion over five years for early and K-12 education.

• $29 billion over five years for a new college tax credit program.

• $35 billion to expand Pell grants for poor college students.

How do you think Barack will pay for all of this? He says that he will only raise taxes on the Rich, but who is the Rich? According to Barack, families making $200,000 and up. Most people wont care because they don't make that much but do you really think that is enough to pay for all of this?

Rich people make jobs. Therefore higher taxes for the Rich = less jobs for us.

Redford Residents For Barack Obama/Kwame Kilpatrick

I was stumbling around the net and ran across Redford Residents for Barack Obama.

Is there anyone out there doing the same for John McCain?

Jennifer Granholm, a Democrat, has run this state into the ground. Andy Dillion, a Democrat who represents Redford, has done nothing but tried to raise taxes since he has been in office. Kwame Kilpatrick, a Democrat Mayor of Detroit our closest neighbor, is scandal clad and is a spitting image of Obama. You don't see it? Then you are blind.

Kilpatrick and Obama only care about one thing, power. As long as they have power they will say anything that you want to hear but will do whatever they want. They both have no true plan for their respective positions. They both throw the race card whenever they are called out on something, Obama is just a little smarter and has his staff and media darlings do it.

With how bad the Democrats have destroyed this area and how bad Kilpatrick has drove a wedge in Detroit/Suburban problems, I am very surprised that anyone would want to vote for Obama/Kilpatrick.

Congressman Ed Markey: The Sky Is Falling!!!!

Why is it that the Enivironmental wackos have to blame everything on Global Warming. I am a huge Global Warming skeptic. If people have to use stunts like this to try to validate GW than you can see why.

I Got this from Brit Humes Political Grapevine on Fox News:

The excitable Democratic Congressman Ed Markey of Massachusetts told high school students last week that climate change not only caused Hurricane Katrina, but also led to the "Blackhawk Down" battle between American forces and Somali rebels back in 1993.

Cybercast News reports that Markey said, "The planet is running a fever... the worst consequences affect the planet — not only New Orleans."

He claimed that "climate change... resulted in a drought which led to famine. That famine translated to international aid we sent in to Somalia, which then led to the U.S. having to send forces to separate all the groups that were fighting over the aid, which led to Blackhawk Down."

Many scientists say it is impossible to make a direct link between global warming and Hurricane Katrina. And the desperate famine in Somalia, according to the U.N., was the result of years of war and bad governance, and population growth.

President Bush Lifts Executive Ban On Drilling Offshore

Finally someone is working on a solution to oil prices. Today President Bush has lifted the executive ban on drilling offshore of the United States. This is just the first step in this fight. There is still a legislative ban on drilling. The likeliness of this ban being lifted is slim, but President Bush has asked them to lift it.

If drilling started it would take three to five years to see the first drop of oil. The Democrats like to say that this is too long and not worth it. I don't know about you but I plan on being here in three to five years.

The Democrats don't want you to know that we actually have a ton of oil here in the U.S. Besides what is on the shelves around the country there is oil in ANWR and even more in the Rocky Mountains. They would rather hold this issue in a strangle hold and blame it on the Republicans and Big Oil. Yet it is the Environmentalists that have enlisted the Democrats to hold this issue.

China has already started drilling in the Caribbean. That's right, just outside our door. So why shouldn't we? It doesn't make any sense and anyone that is against it, is against our sovereignty.

On top of all of this, think of the thousands of jobs this will create.

Can You Really Trust Tracey Schultz Kobylarz?

I was going to stay out of the Redford Township Supervisor race, but since Tracey's campaign took over the Redford Connection I changed my mind. If you got your last Redford Connection you would know what I mean.

I got a letter in the mail yesterday from the Friends of Redford Township. Tracey's campaign says that handy lies non stop. Well here is some of Tracey's lies.

The Tracey Twist: The Township failed to consult Wayne County Road Engineers, now homeowners are suffering as a result of poor planning and design. Roads that have never flooded in the past are now retention ponds, causing property damage at an alarming rate.

The Facts: Wayne County Road Engineers were involved in the entire process. Out of the township residents surveyed this year, nearly 70% of those who responded were happy with the township road paving program. Redford Township has yet to have a claim for property damage by any resident on a newly paved road. (2007 Township Survey Results)

The Tracey Twist: Tracey claims that according to a 2007 report by Redford Township Chief of Police, John Buck, violent crime has increased by double digits since Supervisor Handy was elected. Tracey also claims that Redford Township did not make the CNN Money Magazine Top 25 safest cities list, she compares Redford Township crime to Detroit - the second most dangerous city in the country.

The Facts: Redford Township Police Chief, John Buck, never stated the above untruthful crime statistics Tracey claims. Redford Township official crime statistics, verified by the FBI, have dropped over 30 percent in the past 2 years. According to a Redford Observer article dated 9/14/06, "Magazine: Town's safety tag confirmed." Redford Township was on CNN Money Magazine's Top 25 Safest Cities List, and has a crime rate significantly lower than national crime statistics. (Redford Observer 9/14/06, Detroit Free Press 9/14/06)

The Tracey Twist: The township spent tax payer dollars for the 2008 outdoor concert and fireworks Independence Day celebration. The Cinco de Mayo Festival, and other community events, are used to promote Supervisor Handy's private interests.

The Facts: The 2008 outdoor concert and fireworks budget was made possible through generous corporate sponsors. The Cinco de Mayo Festival was created 2 years prior to Handy's wife and her business partner's restaurant opening. This restaurant created jobs in Redford Township and eliminated a once vacant eyesore. turning it into a trendy restaurant.

The Tracey Twist: The Michigan State Lottery allocated money that would otherwise go to public schools to sponsor the 2008 Township Independence Day Celebration.

The Facts: The Michigan State Lottery has a marketing budget that is used to sponsor many community events. Why not Redford Township? (State of Michigan Budget, 10/1/07)

The Tracey Twist: Millions of dollars are being spent on the Redford Township Marquee with no board input, no competitive bids, and no strategic plan.

The Facts: The Redford Township Board of Trustees unanimously passed the Marquee project, including Tracey. All contracts were awarded based on advertised sealed bids that were opened in front of the public, 46 bids were opened publicly. (Township Board Minutes, 3/4 & 4/8/08)

So which candidate is lying? Redford has improved tremendously under Handy and he deserves a second term.

Factcheck.org: AFL-CIO Falsely Attacks McCain

Here you go:

It runs an ad claiming McCain voted “against increasing health care benefits for veterans,” when he actually voted repeatedly to increase them.

Summary

The AFL-CIO is attacking McCain with a TV spot saying he voted “against increasing health care benefits for veterans.” Actually, he voted for increases in those benefits.

The labor federation points to McCain’s votes against Democratic proposals to increase funding. Those were defeated along party lines, and then quickly followed by alternative measures to increase benefits by smaller amounts, all of which passed unanimously or with near-unanimous majorities.

McCain supported all of them.

The AFL-CIO also points to a McCain vote against a war spending supplemental appropriations measure from 2007 that included additional funding for veterans’ health care, along with much else. The measure passed the Senate along partisan lines but was vetoed by President Bush. But McCain voted for a later version of the supplemental that ultimately passed into law and actually included slightly more funding for veterans’ benefits.

Analysis

The AFL-CIO attack ad against John McCain starting airing today and is the first ad the labor federation has run in the 2008 presidential campaign. It will run in Michigan, Minnesota, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Virginia and Wisconsin for the next three weeks, according to a report in the Washington Post.

We find the ad, narrated by Vietnam Veteran Jim Wasser, to be unduly harsh on McCain’s voting record on veterans’ health benefits.

Democrats Gas Plan

Looks like the plan all along has been to raise the price. This graph says it all

Make A Suggestion For The Republican Party Platform

Finally the Republican party is starting to come into the 21st century. The RNC now has a website that you can go on and make suggestions for what you would like to see on the Republican platform for this election.

This is a great idea and the RNC needs to start using the Internet more. I realize that they send emails and such but there is plenty of things that they do not do.

Maybe this is a sign of the party starting to infuse itself with younger politicians like energetic Bobby Jindal. During the 2006 elections the Republicans lost big time. To me this was not that big of a deal since a lot of the people that were purged were scandal clad. That helped tremendously. Now most of what you will see is Democrats that have problems, but you actually have to do a little research since the Media will never tell you that.

Go here if you would like to give the RNC your own advice on a platform.

Mike Huckleberry, Steve King, & Andy Neumann

Got this in an email and thought everyone should read it:

As the state fell victim to a Democrat controlled House, voters and the media had to learn the hard way how Democrats can and will harm the state of Michigan. The Michigan Republican Party highlighted the troublesome threesome Michigan Democrats are touting as their top picks this week.

The first is Mike Huckleberry of Greenville, who says delinquent taxes are a new phenomenon to him. However, very little investigation yields court records of years of missed and unpaid taxes on his behalf. When it comes to taxes, Democrat House candidate Mike Huckleberry likes to tell a story that he's never missed paying them. Court and county records tell a different story: Mike Huckleberry missed paying them on time in 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006 and 2007, and currently owes $26,500 in delinquent property taxes.

Next there's Steve King of Livonia, who has an outstanding warrant for his arrest for failing to pay spousal support, according to court documents. Calls and e-mails to a House Democratic campaign spokesman and King himself were not returned to members of the media. An arrest warrant is the latest in a string of personal financial setbacks, and raises questions about his ability to focus on Michigan's problems.

Finally, former State Representative Andy Neumann chose Lansing over Alpena, making his permanent address in the Lansing area, while records show Neumann owning no property in Alpena since 2005. Evidence clearly shows that Andy Neumann only visits the Alpena area when he's trolling for votes. Neumann is entitled to run for office to serve his community, but he should just be honest about it, and run for office in the Lansing area, his true home for all these years. Since filing for office, Neumann has resigned his post as Michigan's State Fire Marshall. Recently Governor Granholm has come under fire for not immediately filling the position, leading to speculation that Neumann will have a job in Lansing no matter what the outcome of his race in November.

Democrats always choose good upstanding people.

Barack Obama Vs. Jesse Jackson

It looks like Jackson does not really like Obama. I don't blame him but could this be that maybe Jesse is a little jealous? Does anyone think this is really going to effect Obama? I doubt it. I got the video from the boys over at stoptheaclu.

Detroit Starts Knocking Down Historic Tiger Stadium

Since 1895 a ballpark has stood at the corner Michigan and Trumbull. First it was named Bennett Park, then Navin Field, then Briggs Stadium, and finally Tiger Stadium. Each time the name changed the stadium changed. Starting as a small ball park turning into the giant stadium that it is today.

A few days ago Detroit finally starting knocking the old girl down. Over a hundred years of history is being sold for scrap. This is all about money. Detroit's great Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick wants the scrap money from the stadium since he is wasting a ton of the city's money on his lawyers.

It was declared a State of Michigan Historic Site in 1975 and has been listed on the National Register of Historic Places since 1989. If this is a historic site how can you just knock it down?
There is a savior in all of this though. The Old Tiger Stadium Conservancy Group is increasing its effort to raise enough public donations to save part of the stadium The conservancy is racing to prove it can raise $12 million to $15 million to rescue the baseball diamond, dugouts, 3,000 seats and an area that would house Hall of Fame Tiger broadcaster Ernie Harwell's collection of sports memorabilia. The Save Tiger Stadium Web site is accepting public donations, and plans are being finalized to get Harwell's foundation involved in the fundraising.

My question is with all of the abandon houses and commercial business's why is the city attacking just Tiger Stadium? What about the old Packard plant? What about the thousands of destroyed crack houses in the city?

Detroit & Its Scandals

First we had the Mayor of Detroit, Kwame Kilpatrick, and his infamous whistle blowing lawsuit. Now we are in the middle of his text message scandal, which is getting deeper and deeper by the day. Especially since they now have more than one woman that he may have been cheating on his wife with. Don't forget there is also the dead stripper that the Mayor may or may not of had killed.

Second we have the new City Council bribery scandal involving the sludge contract. Rayford Jackson, boyfriend of Fox 2's Fanchon Stinger, has been accused of bribing City Council member Monica Conyers, which is Congressman John Conyers wife. Fanchon Stinger has been suspended from Fox 2 since she is caught up in this mess. This is not the first time that Fanchon has had a problem. She is a Muslim along with her boyfriend and has problems reporting on pro-Israel and anti-hamas news.

Detroit needs to wise up and get rid of these people in office. Monica Conyers, along with her husband, should not be in office. They are scandal clad and out of touch with society. Kwame Kilpatrick is a thug mayor and hopefully will get convicted of the charges filed against him.

In all honesty this is driving a bigger wedge into the racial divide in Michigan. The suburbs have had enough of this. On the flip side Detroit does not like to be told what to do from the Suburbs and will go against whatever the Suburbs wants. Its a sticky situation.

Obama: Your Kids Should Learn Spanish

According to Barack Obama, all of our kids should be learning Spanish. Why? Shouldn't the Spanish speaking people learn English? Using this philosophy I probably should have my son learn Chinese also since they are an up and coming country.

People that move to the United States need to adapt to our culture. We should not have to adapt to them. If they like their culture so much then stay home.

Here is the video of Obamas speech:

Democrat Controlled Congress Sinks In Approval Ratings

The approval ratings for the Democrat controlled congress has dropped to a new low. Two years ago the Democrats took over the House and Senate. The American people voted for the Democrats because they did not like the direction that this country was going in. Yet, all the promises that they gave have not come true.

The current congress approval rating is at nine percent. This is way under what the Presidents is. Fifty two percent of people polled say that this congress is doing a poor job. I agree.

People still associate this country with President Bush, but he is not the one running the country. The Democrats are. They run the House and Senate and are the ones with the power. If people elect Obama then they will own all the Branches and will really drive this country into the ground.

Michigan Government Reform

The group Reform Michigan Government has obtained the needed signatures to get a controversial proposal on the ballot during this years election. The problem with this proposal is that, first the group is a wing for the Democrats, and second just about every seat that would get the axe is a Republican seat. Every single Judge that gets the axe is a Republican Judge.

Here is what the proposal will do:

• Slash the Senate from 38 to 28 members, the House from 110 to 82 members, the Supreme Court from seven to five justices and the state appeals court from 28 to 21 judges; add 10 judges to lower courts.

• Cut state government from 20 to 18 departments.

• Set up a nine-member commission for legislative redistricting, four from each party with a nonpartisan leader. Now, the party in power controls the process.

• Allow anyone to vote absentee. Now, you have to be sick, elderly or otherwise unable to get to the polls.

• Allow people to vote in primaries without declaring a party affiliation.

• Strengthen a ban against voting by illegal immigrants.

• Cut the salaries of lawmakers, the governor, lieutenant governor, attorney general and secretary of state 25 percent, and Supreme Court justices and judges 15 percent.

• Limit retirement benefits for all state elected officials to no more than what retired state employees get.

• Require legislators, the governor, lieutenant governor, attorney general, secretary of state and justices and judges each year to report their incomes and assets, as well as those of their spouses.

• Ban lawmakers and top government officials from lobbying for two years after they leave office.

Now I agree with some of these points but dropping only Republicans is my main problem. If it was a 50/50 split then I wouldn't complain, but for now I encourage people to vote NO on this proposal.

Donate To Obama And Win!!

Barack Obama will be accepting the Democratic nomination at Invesco field, the home of the Denver Broncos.

Here is what Campaign manager David Plouffe sent in an email.

At the Democratic National Convention next month, we're going to kick off the general election with an event that opens up the political process the same way we've opened it up throughout this campaign.

Barack has made it clear that this is your convention, not his.

On Thursday, August 28th, he's scheduled to formally accept the Democratic nomination in a speech at the convention hall in front of the assembled delegates.

Instead, Barack will leave the convention hall and join more than 75,000 people for a huge, free, open-air event where he will deliver his acceptance speech to the American people.

It's going to be an amazing event, and Barack would like you to join him. Free tickets will become available as the date approaches, but we've reserved a special place for a few of the people who brought us this far and who continue to drive this campaign.

If you make a donation of $5 or more between now and midnight on July 31st, you could be one of 10 supporters chosen to fly to Denver and spend two days and nights at the convention, meet Barack backstage, and watch his acceptance speech in person. Each of the ten supporters who are selected will be able to bring one guest to join them.

Nice, if you DONATE then you can win something. Isn't this like trying to buy votes? There probably isn't a law stopping this but it seems that there should be. I don't think that you should be able to win anything for donating to a campaign.

Conservatives & John McCain

The hard right Conservatives are starting to chirp about a possible fight at the Republican convention. They see problems with McCains stances on global warming, stem cell research, immigration, and campaign finance reform. While I have problems with him on these issues also, I still support him.

You will never find a candidate that stands for everything that the party wants. If you do, then he will not be looked upon well with the Blue Dog Democrats or the Independents. These are the people that you can get to vote for you, but you can not be hard core right.

Conservatives please look at the two candidates that you have to vote for. You may have four issues that you do not agree with McCain on but how many don't you agree with Obama on?

You could vote for Bob Barr but that isn't going to help anything. That will be like voting for Obama and throwing your support behind him.

You make the choice. You can actually support your candidate or complain and try to throw this election to the far left.

Tracey Schultz Kobylarz Campaign

My wife and I were busy people today. We were moving a family member from a house to an apartment near my house here in Redford. We finally finished so we started heading home. When we hit our street I noticed something weird on our street. It was a large pink sign. As we got closer we noticed that it was in our yard. It was a Tracey for Township Supervisor sign.

Hold on, I just sent an email for the Handy for Township Super sign. Why is there a Tracey one here. I promptly pulled the sign off and tore it up.

I started thinking why would this sign get put in our yard. Then I remembered that I did endorse Handy on Political Debris and a Tracey campaign person quickly responded to it.

So I am thinking that since it is not hard to find out where I live, I am thinking that they looked me up and plopped a sign in my yard. Now isn't that a great campaign that they are running? What is going to come from them next? The only thing that this does is hype me up and make me want to start blogging non stop about her, but for now I wont.

Monday I will be up at the Handy office to get my sign and encourage everyone to vote for him. Kelley destroyed this Town when he ran it and Handy has done a good job of turning it around.

Alright now back to my Mexican food from Cinco De Mayo, which is owned by Handy.

Is The Left Anti American?

The 4th of July, or Independance day is a day to celebrate our independance from England. Our four fathers risked their lives to break from the king and form a new country. A country that would one day become the most powerful country in the world.

So why are the talking heads on the left against this day? Why are they so anti American that they would throw this day out and not celebrate. Here are just a few quotes why.

Robert Scheer at The Nation — the self described "flagship of the left" — calls Independence Day "Oil Dependence Day" saying, "Only in an America dumbed down by constant propaganda about our innate moral superiority will anyone any longer believe that we didn't invade Iraq for the oil."

And Matthew Rothschild, editor of the left-wing magazine The Progressive, says he's no patriot because, "Patriotism has done more to stack the corpses millions high in the last 300 years than any other factor."

And columnist Chris Satullo, former editorial page editor of the Philadelphia Inquirer, writes in that paper, "This year America doesn't deserve to celebrate its birthday. This Fourth of July should be a day of quiet and atonement. For we have sinned."

Nice huh?

Well everyone, Happy 4th of July.

Granholms Plan To Save You Money On Gas

Jennifer Granholm has come up with a brilliant plan to save Michigan drives money on gas. Drive slower. That's right, instead of dropping the high tax Michigan puts on gas she would rather tell YOU what you SHOULD be doing.

Now driving slower will save you some green, but shouldn't that be up to you? Jenny would like to see the speed limit down to 55 mph and put more cops on the streets to enforce this.

Hold on now!!! This now sounds more like a plan for the state to bring in more revenue. Lower the limit and give them tickets!!! Sounds like a great plan to me Jenny.

Jenny is this what you meant when your election ad said "In 4 years, you will be blown away." Maybe blown right out of the state. This is just another Democrat Nanny state idea that restricts you in more ways.

Republicans Vs. Democrats On Gas

Hmm check this out. Looks like the Democrats really are not the ones trying to lower oil, like the media would like you to think.

Barack Obama And Code Pink

Does Barack Obama support Code Pink?

If you dont know Code Pink is the radical anti war and anti military group that supports the insurgents in Iraq. Code Pink has sent over $600,000 in aid to the otherside.

Barack did a fund raiser with Jodie Evans the co founder of Code Pink. This was all done in the ultra elitist hollywood and raised over 5 million for Barack.

This from stoptheaclu,

Evans said in an interview last month on June 3 that al Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden had a ‘valid argument’ for attacking America on Sept. 11, 2001.

When Obama launched his presidential campaign in February 2007, he turned to Jodie Evans, who had just returned from Cuba as a guest of the Castro government where she was protesting against America, to co-host his first big Hollywood fundraiser. He also tapped Evans to bundle between $50,000 and $100,000 for his campaign. Evans personally gave the legal maximum, $2300, to Obama’s campaign.

A video posted at Indybay.org shows Evans’ fellow co-founder of Code Pink, Fidel Castro groupie Medea Benjamin, describing in great detail Evans’ meeting with Obama last week:

Note, Benjamin describes the meeting as if she were an eyewitness, but she doesn’t say whether she was there with Evans

“Last night Code Pink co-founder Jodie Evans was at a Hollywood bash for Barack Obama. And it was pretty interesting because there was Jodie going up to get her picture taken with Barack Obama. And I don’t know if you’ve seen but some of these right wing groups have been trying to say that Barack Obama is really a communist because he gets money from people like Jodie Evans.

“So Jodie went up to shake his hand and the first thing he said to her without her saying anything is, “I know you Jodie, and Code Pink. And I know that you want me to end this war and bring all the troops home and I am going to do that.”

“And he said, “I know that you want there to be no permanent bases in Iraq and I want that too.”

“And she said,”But we don’t trust you because you just put these policy advisors who are leftovers from the Clinton administration who are not antiwar.”

“He said, “Don’t worry, I have other advisors and I want to end this war in Iraq.”

“And then she said, “But we’re worried because you aren’t standing up against the FISA bill and for our rights not to be illegally spied on.”

“And he said, “I am going to vote against that bill.”

“Of course we wanted him to do more, we wanted him to filibuster but he’s not willing to do that. She pushed him on that.

“But I bring this up because we have the ability to push from the inside and the outside. And its being right here at this kind of place and places like this around the country that are the antidote to the people that are pushing Barack Obama to be quote centrist, which means a warmonger.

“So we have to keep this fight up. Not just because we want to see this Marine recruiting station closed. But because we want this message to reverberate in the presidential elections and the congressional elections.

“We want Nancy Pelosi to hear it. We want Barack Obama to hear it. We want all of those who are in power now and might have even more power come November to know that we are serious about ending this occupation and this war.”

Jodie Evans’ record as an anti-American activist is well-known. She travels the world, meeting with the likes of Hugo Chavez and representatives of the so-called Iraqi resistance. In 2005, she had this to say about the terrorists killing and maiming American troops:

We must begin by really standing with the Iraqi people and defending their right to resist. I can remain myself against all forms of violence, and yet I cannot judge what someone has to do when pushed to the wall to protect all they love. The Iraqi people are fighting for their country, to protect their families and to preserve all they love. They are fighting for their lives, and we are fighting for lies.

Barack Obama has no problem meeting with her, accepting her money and enlisting her aid in his campaign.

Whether he does exactly as she wants when she wants is beside the point. The point is Evans has the blood of American soldiers on her hands–and Obama embraces her without reservation. And he wants to be commander-in-chief.

Obama And Welfare

From Brit Hume at Fox News.

Barack Obama is championing welfare reform in his new television ad titled "Dignity." The ad says that Obama "passed a law to move people from welfare to work — slashed the rolls by 80 percent."

But the television spot fails to mention that Obama resisted the very welfare reform bill that led to the reduction in the caseload. Back in 1996, President Bill Clinton signed a federal reform bill in an effort to make welfare what he called "a second chance, not a way of life."

But then-Illinois state Senator Obama told the Cleveland Plain Dealer newspaper that year that Mr. Clinton's stance on welfare was "disturbing." And on May 31, 1997 Obama said on the floor of the Illinois state Senate, "I probably would not have supported the federal legislation."

Don't forget in the same ad he says he helped pass legislation for military benefits, but the problem is that he never voted for it.

NRA To Take Down Obama

The National Rifle Association, or NRA for short, plans to dump $40 million into this coming election. Their plan is to educate the hunters and gun owners of many swing states on the truth about Barack Obama and gun rights.

If they hit key hunting and gun rights states, such as Michigan, Minnesota and Pennsylvania, this may just swing some votes. They need to hit these states hard and have a very good campaign on it.

I beg the NRA to dump money into Michigan, since it has a ton of hunters and gun owners. I know a lot of Democrats here that are leery of Obama and the really don't mind McCain, but their Union tells them to vote for Obama. If the NRA runs some decent ads at good times then it may sway enough people in this state that it may go McCain.
