Gingrich: Jindal Is Best Choice For Vice President

Here is a decent article that I found on The Hill. I totally agree with what Newt has to say here. Bobby Jindal is the new face of the Republican party. I wish that he was my governor but instead I have Granholm.

Former House Speaker
Newt Gingrich (R-Ga.) said Sunday that Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal “would be far and away the best candidate” to appear on the Republican presidential ticket with Sen. John McCain (Ariz.).

Gingrich, who appeared on CBS’s “Face the Nation,” heaped praise upon the former congressman, saying that he is a “spectacular” governor and predicted that Jindal would be a presidential candidate in the future.

However, Jindal, who also was a guest on the show, said that he already holds the job he wants. “I’m certainly supporting Sen. McCain, will do whatever I can to help him get elected, but I’m focused on being governor of Louisiana,” Jindal stated.

Asked whether it could be a problem that the governor, who is 37, might be perceived as not ready to lead the country in case he would have to replace McCain, Gingrich said the case can be made that Jindal’s “experience in the executive branch and in the legislative branch is greater than” that of Democratic presidential candidate Sen. Barack Obama (Ill.).

“It strikes me that it’s going to be very hard for Obama’s campaign to explain that Jindal, as a governor, who has served as an assistant secretary of Health and Human Services, has served as a congressional staffer, has served as a congressman, is not qualified but Sen. Obama is qualified,” Gingrich said.

On the issue, he added that voters are “not going to reject Sen. Obama on inexperience.” Gingrich argued that a GOP attempt to win the election by casting the Democrat as inexperienced would fail.

Obama is a very articulate, very intelligent, Harvard law graduate, who is extraordinarily smart, and he’s not going to come across in a debate like some guy who’s dopey,” Gingrich said. “He’s going to come across as fully prepared. He knows how to study all this stuff. He has the military advisers.”

However, Gingrich added, “The problem with Obama is he’s wrong. It’s not that he’s inexperienced. It’s that his policies are wrong.”

Commenting on the race for control of Congress, the former House leader said that the record price of gasoline could help Republicans in a year that observers now say
favors Democrats.

“At $4 and $5 a gallon -- if you have a more production, lower cost Republican Party running against a cripple the economy, hit your pocketbook Democratic Party, this election will change radically in September and October,” Gingrich said.

Political Debris Supports Roger Miles Handy II

Not like it really matters but I am putting my support behind Miles Handy and Kim Sivyer in Redford Township. That's right, I am supporting two Democrats. Can you believe it?

I have live in Redford most of my life except a brief stint in Farmington Hills. I bought my first home here on the street that I grew up. It was cheap and we bought it to move in five years. After having a child it makes that vision a little hard. We still will be moving before our son gets into school, but not because Redford schools are bad, its because we want a bigger home.

Redford schools were abysmal because of School of Choice in Michigan, Redford finally dropped it a few years ago. Half of the roads in Redford were still gravel. Living right next to Detroit you would think that everything would be paved. By the end of this year they will all be black topped. Blight was something that was starting to become a problem and still is in some areas, but things have changed a lot. These are a few reasons that I support Handy.

The main reason I support him is the Redford master plan that is on the Townships website. This is a great plan and will really spur growth in the commercial areas of Redford. It also has plans for the blight areas.

So as someone who mostly votes Republican, I can say I will be splitting my ticket this year.

Reaction To Gun Ban Ruling

Here are a few reactions to SCOTUS decision on DC's gun ban law. Notice that only 2 people are against your rights, Dianne Feinstein and Frank Lautenberg both Liberals and need to be voted out. So why is it that these type of people are normally the ones that get all the attention?
------
"This opinion should usher in a new era in which the constitutionality of government regulations of firearms are reviewed against the backdrop of this important right." -- Sen. Patrick Leahy, D-Vt.
------
"The right to bear arms is a fundamental right we enjoy as citizens of the United States. From individuals being able to protect their family and their home to sportsmen venturing into the outdoors, this is an important and historic day for all citizens of this great country." -- Sen. Norm Coleman, R-Minn.
------
"I am profoundly disappointed in Justice Roberts and Justice Alito, both of whom assured us of their respect for precedent. With this decision, 70 years of precedent has gone out the window. And I believe the people of this great country will be less safe because of it." -- Sen. Dianne Feinstein, D-Calif.
------
"Today's ruling is a major victory for the rights of all Americans to protect themselves and their families. The Supreme Court sent a clear message to local, state, and federal governments that this individual right cannot be unreasonably infringed." -- Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchison, R-Texas.
------
"I think this is a long overdue decision; I don't think the precedent has been seriously reaffirmed in decades." -- Sen. Russell Feingold, D-Wis.
------
"The nation's top court made the correct decision by reaffirming one of our founding principles, the right of individuals to keep and bear arms. This historic ruling has implications far beyond the District of Columbia." -- Sen. John Cornyn, R-Texas.
------
"Today, President Bush's radical Supreme Court justices put rigid ideology ahead of the safety of communities in New Jersey and across the country. This decision illustrates why I have strongly opposed extremist judicial nominees and will continue to do so in the future." -- Sen. Frank Lautenberg, D-N.J.
------
"In the most significant victory for the Second Amendment in recent memory, the Supreme Court today reaffirmed our citizens' constitutional right to keep and bear arms. ... This decision should send a clear message to opponents of the Second Amendment. The Constitution plainly guarantees the solemn right to keep and bear arms, and the whims of politically correct bureaucrats cannot take it away." -- House Minority Leader John Boehner, R-Ohio.
------
"The Supreme Court's decision underscores our country's commitment to protecting the fundamental rights on which America was founded. Today, America has reaffirmed its promise to the right to bear arms." -- Rep. Nick Lampson, D-Texas.
------
"While this is a clear victory for those who live in Washington, D.C., it's my hope what was decided here today projects a powerful new precedent for judges to follow across the country." -- Rep. Roy Blunt, R-Mo.

Supreme Court Gets It Right

Finally the Supreme Court gets a decision right. After blowing the whole execution for child rapes, the Supreme Court came to a 5 - 4 decision in saying that the people DO have the right to bear arms. This is a huge victory for gun right advocates.

The NRA is already preparing to sue San Francisco, Chicago and other areas of Illinois. With what happened I hope that the activist judges in these areas do not get that cases. If they do then I see these going high courts also.

The thing that saddens me is looking at all the comments on CBS, ABC, NBC and such. People on there slamming the decision saying that this is not needed. It is proven that gun bans cause higher crime rates. If I was a criminal I would go to DC or Chicago because I know that the people are scared to own guns since they will land themselves in jail for shooting me.

Good thing I live in Michigan that has a Castle Doctrine.

SCOTUS To Vote On Second Amendment

SCOTUS is set to vote on the illegal, unconstitutional DC gun ban today. This ban, bans all handguns in the District of Columbia, it also makes that all rifles and shotguns must be stored in a disassembled fashion.

This is unconstitutional since the 2nd Amendment was put in place so that the people of the United States did not have to fear their government, unlike the people who feared the King of Britain's draconian laws. The 2nd Amendment gives the rights of all people to own a firearm to protect themselves.

You can say what you want about so called Assault Rifles. Most people say that we do not need automatic weapons in the United States. You are right, since they have been banned for a long time it shouldn't matter. AK-47s, AR-15s, and the such that are legal in the United States are NOT automatic. The banning of them are because of cosmetic features that shouldn't matter. Most gun banners couldn't even tell you what a flash suppressor does or why it should or shouldn't be banned. Its ridicules.

Once SCOTUS votes on this Barack Obama will say his piece. He pretends to be for Gun Rights yet he has said that he would like to see all Semi-Automatics banned. That would be just about every hand gun and hunting rifle out today. He says that all you need is single shot rifles, except 50 caliber rifles. Well, most black powder rifles are 50 caliber.

Well, that's just more Political Debris.....

Bob Barr

Ron Paul is claiming that now Republicans have a choice. That they can vote for Bob Barr for president. You are right Ron they do have a choice. They can vote Republican or give the vote to Obama.

If a Republican, Conservative, Right Wing, what ever you want to call them votes for Bob Barr then they might as well just vote for Obama. Giving any votes to him takes them away from McCain and ensures Obama the presidency. Is this what you are trying to do? I realize that in 2 years the Democrats will screw up enough that the Republicans will take back one of the Houses, but do you really want to see what they tax or ban?

That's what the Dems do, they are the party of taxing and banning.

Things The Media Wont Show About Barack Obama

Got this from my friends over at stoptheaclu.com.

His wife going off on a rant about how evil “whitey” is, and conspiracies that he is a covert Muslim trying to infiltrate our democracy are nothing more than rumors…at least at this point. However, there are plenty of things the media don’t put enough focus on that are true about the Obamas. Instead they would rather focus on things like his playful fist-bump. They have to keep their priorities on the important issues.

His connection and close friendship with a corrupt crook and convicted felon.
Obama supports sex education for Kindergarten!
Obama sought the endorsement of the Marxist Party in 1996!
Obama’s embracement of appeasement.
Obama has a huge anti-gun record.
Obama may not be a Muslim, but every association with religion he has made seems to be outrageously radical!
Obama has a very bad habit of re-writing history.
Obama refuses to cut his friendship with unrepentant anti-American terrorists!
A history of terrorist fundraisers for Obama.
Obama’s ties to Kenya and his cousin Odinga.
Obama has many, many radical friends!
Many Obama lies the media will ignore.
He ran on the socialist, pro-PLO party.
He has a list of anti-Israel advisors.
His disturbing statement that young people having babies instead of abortions is punishment.
His condescending, elitist snobbery towards gun owners and the religious.
His disrespect and refusal to salute the American flag.
His plan to disarm America and dismantle our nuclear arsenal.

The Obama Khalidi Connection

Here you go people. Yet another extremist friend of Barack Obama. Still going to vote for this man?

Biased Media?

When the Republicans stopped the Democrats idea of putting a wind fall tax on big oil the major networks had it plastered all over their pages, including Fox, that they Republicans are doing nothing to help.

Now that the Democrats stopped the idea of off shore drilling the only page I see it on is Fox News. Maybe Fox is just a little faster or maybe the boys at CBS, ABC, and MSNBC are trying to put a spin on it. Who know?!

We need to drill. Will it fix things right now? No, but it will in the long run. This idea of putting a wind fall tax on them will only cause gas to rise. They will just pass it on to the consumer.

So I want to thank the Democrats for pandering to the Environmentalists once again. Thank you for originally making it and continuing the fight to make sure that we are oil dependent on other nations.

There you go, just more Political Debris......

Unions To Blame For Michigans Woes?

Should the Unions be at fault for the lack of jobs in Michigan? In the past year there has been numerous strikes on contracts between Unions and there companies, months of wasted time and money.

Volkswagen is one of these companies that is unlikely to build factories here. Michigan has a hostile work force which will cause the plant to be built south of here, most likely in Tennessee. This is a lot of jobs and money that could be invested in the area, which badly needs it.

With this the UAW just backed Obama for president. Its not like anybody thought they would back McCain. The UAW is nothing more then a special interest group and obviously, with their choice of candidates lately, don't really care about their members. The Democrats have done nothing for them but try to raise taxes and drive business away. If they really cared they would have backed Dick Devos for governor of Michigan, a true businessman who would have helped this state instead of drove it farther into the ground.

McCain Needs To Talk About Oil Drilling

John McCain needs to jump all over drilling for oil in the U.S. Polls are starting to show that more people want us to drill our own oil and less are blaming the big Oil Companies. This is something that could really help McCain, since we all know that Obama caters to the Environmentalists.

Polling data from Gallup shows that the percentage of voters blaming oil companies for skyrocketing gasoline prices has dropped from 34 percent to 20 percent over the past year. At the same time, support for more drilling in U.S. coastal and wilderness areas has increased to 57 percent from 41 percent.

There is a lot of oil in the United States. The Democrats back in the Carter years passed laws saying that we can not drill in here. There were a few oil spills that caused this. The Bakken fields beneath North Dakota, Montana, and Canada hold an estimated 400 billion barrels of oil. In comparison, Saudi Arabia’s biggest field, Gahawar, has an estimated 55 billion barrels, while ANWR has an estimated 10.4 billion barrels. Doesnt this tell you that we should be using our own oil instead of just letting Canada use this?

The Kwame and Granholm Affect

Obama is planning on coming to Detroit and making a speech. A lot of people around here didn't think that he would because of all the problems involving Kwame Kilpatrick. Personally I hope that they all go on stage together and get pictures taken.

Jennifer Granholm is not liked by many in this state. Logical people can realize that she has done nothing for this state and the only reason that she got reelected was because of the Union sheep that THINK the Democrats actually help them. Granholm messing this state up so much has put it in play for McCain.

Kwame Kilpatrick has drove a huge wedge in the all ready racially divided Detroit metropolitan area. Look at the recent Red Wings parade. When Kwame came on stage there was nonstop boos until he got off stage. This is going to effect Obama. The whites in Michigan can not stand him and it will carry over to Obama. Racial tension will make a big impact in this election in Michigan.

What is sad is that the Obama people will call racism if you don't vote for him. I have posted things about Obama on other websites and was told that I was a racist. I question the person since all I was talking about was Obama's economic plans, but hell I guess I HAVE to vote black or I am a racist.

That's just more Political Debris for you....

Obama & Frank Marshall Davis The Communist

I bet you didn't know that Obama has connections with Communists. I bet that you didn't know that this man helped shape what Barack is today. Most people don't. The media who is in love with Obama will not show you this kind of stuff. Why would they? Then it may hurt there wonder child.

Now that Obama is the only Democrat on the ticket he will start to be scrutinized more and more. This is good since he has had a free ride this whole time while the media was beating on Clinton.

In his biography of Barack Obama, David Mendell writes about Obama's life
as a "secret smoker" and how he "went to great lengths to conceal the habit."
But what about Obama's secret political life? It turns out that Obama's
childhood mentor, Frank Marshall Davis, was a communist. In his books, Obama
admits attending "socialist conferences" and coming into contact with Marxist
literature. But he ridicules the charge of being a "hard-core academic Marxist,"
which was made by his colorful and outspoken 2004 U.S. Senate opponent,
Republican Alan Keyes.

However, through Frank Marshall Davis, Obama had an admitted
relationship with someone who was publicly identified as a member of the
Communist Party USA (CPUSA). The record shows that Obama was in Hawaii from
1971-1979, where, at some point in time, he developed a close relationship,
almost like a son, with Davis, listening to his "poetry" and getting advice on
his career path. But Obama, in his book, Dreams From My Father, refers to him
repeatedly as just "Frank."

The reason is apparent: Davis was a known communist who belonged to a
party subservient to the Soviet Union. In fact, the 1951 report of the
Commission on Subversive Activities to the Legislature of the Territory of
Hawaii identified him as a CPUSA member. What's more, anti-communist
congressional committees, including the House Un-American Activities Committee
(HUAC), accused Davis of involvement in several communist-front
organizations.
