Obama, Clinton, & NAFTA

Obama and Clinton squabbled over NAFTA the other night during the Democratic debate. They were throwing mud back and blaming NAFTA for all our woos. The problem with all of this is that they are hurting relations with our friends to the north.

Canada is the largest exporter to the United States of oil. That's right, we get more oil from Canada then anyone else in the world. Do you know why? It is because of NAFTA. They HAVE to send us this oil, they can not cut us off.

So what happens if we get rid of NAFTA or try to renegotiate it? We will loose this privilege. Canada will be free to send their oil to anyone in the world and cut us off. I am sure you will be happy paying for that gas hike.

China is just itching for this to happen. They have already invested in companies in Calgary. If NAFTA gets the boot Canada will most likely start shipping its oil overseas. Don't worry though people the Democrats will find a way to blame this on the Republicans or Exxon/Mobil.

So, Vote Obama or Clinton and kill NAFTA.

Obama: is America ready for this dangerous leftwinger?

Here is a great artical from Gerard Baker from The Times:

For most ordinary Americans, those not encumbered with an expensive
education or infected by prolonged exposure to cosmopolitan heterodoxy,
patriotism is a consequence of birth.

Their chests swell with pride every time they hear the national anthem at
sporting events. They fill up with understandable emotion whenever they see a
report on television about the tragic heroics of some soldier or Marine who gave
his life in Iraq or Afghanistan.

Foreigners don't have to like America - and they've certainly exercised
that freedom in the past few years. But most Americans can distinguish between
the transience of policy failure and the permanence of the national ideal.

And surely even critics of the US could scarcely deny that there have been
real causes for American pride in the past 25 years: the fall of the Berlin
Wall; the victory in the first Gulf War in 1991; the nation's unity in grief and
resolve after September 11. Heck, I suspect most Americans got a small buzz of
patriotic pride this week when they heard that one of their multimillion-dollar
missiles had shot a dead but dangerous satellite travelling at 17,000 miles per
hour out of the sky so that it fell harmlessly to Earth.

But not, apparently, Michelle Obama, wife of the man who is now the
putative Democratic candidate for US president, and at this point favourite to
succeed to that job. In what might be the most revealing statement made by any
political figure so far in this campaign season, Mrs Obama caused a stir this
week. She said that the success of her husband Barack's campaign had marked the
first time in her adult life that she had felt pride in her country.

This, even by the astonishingly self-absorbed standards of politicians and
their families, is a remarkably narrow view of what makes a country great. And
though she later half-heartedly tried to retract the remark it was a statement
pregnant with meaning for the presidential election campaign.

Now, to be fair to Mrs Obama, she would surely have a point if she had said
that it was a source of incomparable pride to her and all African-Americans that
in a country with a long and baleful history of racial discrimination, one of
their...

Barack Obamas Accomplishments

What has Barack Obama done as a senator? Can you name anything? He has done nothing. Barack Obama is a first term Senator that thinks he has what it takes to become President. Hell, Hillary Clinton has better credentials to become the President than Obama.

So why do all of these Lemmings follow him? I talked to one Obama supporter and she told me that she loves the way he speaks. OK, he can talk but he doesn’t tell you anything. All he tells you is that we need change but doesn’t really tell you how. Obama is not ready to become the leader of the greatest country in the world.

People, you really need to wake up. Just do a little research on your candidates. McCain should walk away with this presidency but he won’t. You know why? It is because he is a white male. When did it become a crime to be white and a male for that fact?

I challenge any of you Obama supports to comment on this page and tell me what he has done? Come on, one thing. Is that so hard to ask?

Does Michelle Obama Hate America?

Does she? She ran her mouth about not ever being proud of her country. This was after her husband had cheers to his usual mean nothing speech. Here is what Brit Hume has:

We have more reaction to Michelle Obama's comment at a political rally last night in Milwaukee that — "For the first time in my adult lifetime, I am really proud of my country."

Jonathan last writes in The Weekly Standard — "Instead of seeing America as a place which afforded her the opportunity to create a blessed life, Mrs. Obama seems to view it as a place where some 'people' are always trying to hold her back."

John Podhoretz in Commentary Magazine — "it suggests the Obama campaign really does have its roots in New Class leftism, according to which patriotism is not only the last refuge of a scoundrel, but the first refuge as well."

Sasha Issenberg in the Boston Globe wonders — "So what did Michelle Obama think of the United States before her husband decided he wanted to run the place?"

And Mickey Kaus writes in the liberal Slate Magazine — "Even Dennis Kucinich would probably have no problem finding something to be proud of in the past two decades."

Second Amendment In Court

Here is a great article from Oliver North:

Washington, D.C. — When the Washington, D.C. City Council enacted the toughest gun-control law in the nation in 1976, the city fathers — according to what they said at the time — believed they were making our nation’s capital a safer place. The measure failed miserably.

Since passage, the murder rate in the District has skyrocketed by more than 200 percent. Now, the U.S. Supreme Court has a chance to both make our capital safer — and ensure that the Second Amendment to our Constitution is enshrined as an individual right for every law-abiding American.

No matter how well intentioned, the D.C. firearms statute has been unfathomable from the start. On its face, the law bans handguns and requires rifles and shotguns to be registered, stored unloaded and either locked or disassembled. While it allows business owners to use a firearm to protect their cash registers at their stores, they cannot use that same firearm to protect themselves and their families in their homes. Individuals who protect federal officials and property in the District with firearms are not permitted to provide similar protection for themselves and their families in their own domiciles.

In fact, the case that the Supreme Court will hear, District of Columbia v. Heller, was brought by Mr. Dick Heller, a security guard. In carrying out his duties, Mr. Heller carries a handgun on Federal property. However, when he sought to register the same weapon to safeguard his home, he was denied. Mr. Heller says the D.C. law has it backwards. "I can protect [federal workers], but at the end of the day they say, 'turn in your gun, you can't protect your home.'" Mr. Heller maintains that disassembled rifles and shotguns...

Mainstream Media Glamorizes School Shootings

The people that go into schools and start shooting have problems, big problems. They have to have some kind of imbalance in their head that causes them to rationalize that killing innocent people is right. They do this so that they can go out with (this is a bad word to use) bang. They know that if they do this heinous act then the Media will be all over it and show the world what they did.

Every gunman that goes into schools has had their name plastered all over the news. With this kind of coverage you will constantly get repeat offenders. This is a trend that does need to be stopped and the only way that it can happen is if security is beefed up at the schools. I am all for putting metal detectors at the doors of schools. People complain that it shouldn’t have to be that way and that it’s not a prison. You are right but we need to do something and banning guns is not the answer.

With the coverage out there on this the Gun Banners will try to get some free coverage. Banning guns does nothing. If you look at the Clinton Assault Weapon Ban, it did nothing in stopping crime. All the bans do is make it harder for normal people, not criminals, to get guns. Would it help in some cases, yes, but it would offset the amount of guns that people use to defend themselves. It has been proven that the more guns in a community, the safer it is, even though the Gun Banners don’t like to hear this.

People, look at the statistics that the Gun Banners use. They use all the statistics that show true criminals using illegal guns causing crimes. These are not normal everyday people using their guns. They are not honest and don’t let them try to push their political agendas during a time of a tragedy.

Celebrities And Politics

Does anyone really care what Celebrities have to say when it comes to politics? If you do, you have major problems.

Celebrities are not in touch with the world. They are pampered and do not have the worries of day to day people. Most of them are far left liberals, because that’s the trendy thing to do. The problem is the things that they claim to care about are things that do not affect them. Things like the economy, gun rights, hunting rights, taxes and many other problems with the country.

Look at Rosie O’Donnell. She is staunch against gun rights, but did you know that one of her body guards got in trouble for concealing a handgun when he didn’t have a permit. Sounds like a double standard to me. How about all the Celebs that help PETA out. They have no care in the world, so they decide to help the animals. PETA wants to banish hunting rights. If that happened a lot of lower class people who survive off of hunting would have to depend on the government then.

Celebrities need to keep their mouths shut and act. That is what they are here for. Look at what these people have become. Most of them look like fools and do stupid things. Drugs, alcohol and sex is what most of them stand for and you are going to listen to them? The main stream media needs to stop catering to the Left and stop advertising for the Celebrities that cant stop running their mouths.

Toledo Allows Neo Nazis But Kicks Out Marines

Why is it that Neo Nazis are allowed to march down the streets of Toledo, during a rally, but United States Marines, from Grand Rapids, are not? This shows the double standards of Democrats. The Democrats talk a good game when it comes to the military, but look at the Clinton years. How many bases did he close? They love to destroy our might.

Mayor Carty Finkbeiner on Friday ordered some 200 members of Company
A, 1st Battalion, 24th Marines from Grand Rapids, Michigan, out of Toledo just before the unit was supposed to start a weekend of urban warfare training downtown.

The mayor’s spokesperson, Brian Schwartz said, “The mayor asked them to
leave because they frighten people. He did not want them practicing and drilling
in a highly visible area."

Are you serious? Neo Nazis don’t scare people but the Marines do?

At least two dozen members of the National Socialist Movement, which calls itself "America's Nazi Party," had gathered at a city park to march under police protection. Organizers said they were demonstrating against black gangs they said were harassing white residents.

Police protection, why? Could someone explain all of this to me please?

Microstamping Ammunition

This is what to expect if Clinton or Obama get into office. I could ramble on for days about how bad of an idea this is, but I wont. This is what I just got by email:

This week, Senator Edward M. Kennedy (D-MA) and Congressman Xavier Becerra (D-CA) introduced "microstamping" legislation titled the "National Crime Gun Identification Act of 2007." The bill is co-sponsored in the Senate by Senators Feinstein (D-CA), Menendez (D-NJ), Lautenberg (D-NJ), Durbin (D-IL), Schumer (D-NY), and Reed (D-RI).

Commenting on the bill's introduction, Kennedy said, "Micro-stamping ammunition is an important and effective method of tracing guns, and provides law enforcement with a much-needed resource in solving crimes."

Actually, microstamping has never been implemented. Legislation was passed in California at the end of last year, but has not been implemented. Therefore, claiming it is an "effective method" is not correct. On the contrary, there are numerous and varied problems with micro-stamping (for additional information on those flaws, please click here: http://www.nraila.org/Issues/FactSheets/Read.aspx?id=223&issue=078)

The measure has support from the usual gun ban groups, such as the Coalition to Stop Gun Violence, the Brady Campaign, and others.

If Obama Or Clinton Wins You Better Hide Your Guns!!!!

If one of the Democrats get into office they will be after your guns. I guarantee that it will be one of their first duties to reinstate the assault weapon ban. The ban was proven not to lower crime, but they don’t care. All they care about it taking your guns.

The Democrats tried adding ALL, that’s right all, semi automatic weapons to the last ban. That would mean most shotguns, rifles and pistols out today. The only thing that would be legal is bolt action rifles that only hold one round and pump shotguns. Most people don’t know this. They just follow what the media tells them. Barely any crimes are committed with so called assault rifles, most are with handguns.

John McCain is not much better toward guns, but I have faith in him that he will not allow this to happen. Just remember, Democrats want to take your guns but want criminals to not serve as much jail time for crimes. Republicans say keep your guns and the criminals can stay in jail. Who would you rather have the guns? If you take the citizens the criminals will still have them.

Romney Drops Out

Mitt Romney dropped out of the Republican race for presidency today. So what does Obama have to say about it? Negative comments of course. That's all the Democrats can come up with. What Romney said about the Dems was right on and Obama cant face it.

Romney said in his exit speech that the GOP must unify and not allow Democrats to allow the country to "surrender to terror." Which Obama came back with. Well my reaction to Mitt Romney's comment that's the kind of poorly thought out comment that lead him to drop out," Obama said during a press avail on his campaign plane. "It's a classic attempt to appeal to people's fears that will not work in this campaign. I think that's part of the reason he was such an ineffective candidate."

Cant face the truth Obama?

The Winner of Super Tuesday is.....John McCain

After the dust has settled from Super Tuesday, the only real winner in either of the Primaries is John McCain. The likeliness of Mitt Romney catching him is very slim and with Huckabee still not giving up, Romney will not make it.

On the Democrats side it is still a toss up. I am hoping that they will start to get extremely negative towards each other. The people of the United States really need to see what these two are really about. These two will destroy the U.S. Especially if they get their Universal Healthcare.

I will not be like Rush, Ann and some of the other conservatives. Mainly because I am more of a Centralist but align myself with the Republicans. I will vote for McCain so that the Democrats do not get the Presidency. We need to make sure that the three houses are not run by the same party. We need some checks and balances otherwise you have seen what can happen.

John McCain: Conservative Enough To Protect The Nation

Randy Mott from Mott's Blog wrote a good artical about John McCain. Start reading here then click the link to read the rest of the artical.

Many of Senator McCain's positions have upset conservatives. His views of global warming are clearly on the wrong side for us. His campaign finance legislation infringed on what many of us considered to be First Amendment rights. His lack of a full appreciation of the problems of accepting a path toward legitimacy of illegal immigrants already here before fully securing the borders enraged many on the right.

A lot of this tension is really a hang-over from George W. Bush, whom conservatives supported and often felt betrayed by. It is a fatal mistake to read the disapproval ratings of President Bush as a vindication of the policies of the Left, after all Congress now scores only a ....

Senator Jim DeMint Vs. Berkeley California

Senator DeMint is on the right track. He wants to pull all federal funding from the City of Berkeley. If you read one of my other posts you would know that the City is trying to force out the Marine Corps recruiting station.

"This is a slap in the face to all brave service men and women and their families," DeMint said in a prepared statement. "The First Amendment gives the City of Berkeley the right to be idiotic, but from now on they should do it with their own money."

"If the city can’t show respect for the Marines that have fought, bled and died for their freedom, Berkeley should not be receiving special taxpayer-funded handouts," he added.

According to Fox; DeMint will draft legislation to rescind any earmarks dedicated for the City of Berkeley in the recently passed appropriations bill, which his office tallied to value about $2.1 million. He said that any money taken back would be transferred to the Marines.

Here are some of the earmarks:

— $975,000 for the University of California at Berkeley, for the Matsui Center for Politics and Public Service, which may include establishing an endowment, and for cataloguing the papers of Congressman Robert Matsui.

— $750,000 for the Berkeley/Albana ferry service.

— $243,000 for the Chez Panisse Foundation, for a school lunch initiative to integrate lessons about wellness, sustainability and nutrition into the academic curriculum.

— $94,000 for a Berkeley public safety interoperability program.

— $87,000 for the Berkeley Unified School District, nutrition education program.

The Democrates will never rescind the money because they are against the Military also, but it's worth a shot.
